The hotel is located close to the beach, they serve a good breakfast, and you can park your car behind the hotel
We booked the Triple room... but when we arrived at the hotel, we were given the room that was completely different from the room you can see on the photos on the Booking. It was located in the basement, with grated windows on a level of the parking ground behind the hotel. Pieces of plastic were permanently attached to windows grates from the outside of the apartment, so there wasn't view at all (in contrast to what was in description, see also the "outside" photo), also there were no "hardwood or parquet floor", no deposit box the furniture saw better times, soundproofing?... not with that door or windows. When I asked on the reception if there was no mistake, I was told that all other rooms were booked. But why do they have it on booking, demand prepayment, and have no-refund policy? I don't recommend booking rooms with this hotel unless you are ready to take the risk of living somewhere completely different from what you paid for.

OK. Fulfill Southern Europe standard.
Quite outdated.

Perfect spot to explore Pegli. The Hotel is easy to find, has great parking in the back of the property and is situated right next to the cutest café/gelateria and the most delicious pizzaria in town. The room was spacious and the bed was comfortable. We had a wonderful time.
The shower is extremely small. I’m 155cm short and I had trouble not to bump into everything. But it does its job and we managed. Breakfast is only until 10am and check-out is at 11, both an hour earlier than I am used to. The road in front of the hotel is very busy until late at night. We bought some ear plugs and were able to sleep fine but maybe sound proof windows would be a good investment for the hotel in the future.

great location, with lovely view and big large and airy room. Free parking on site . Fabulous breakfast on the terrace. - big choice and good quality
Staff all very friendly.
Older styling in hotel which we were very happy with
sadly air con didn’t really work so we needed to leave the window open which made it a nosy night.

When I checked in at night, I was told to deposit my passport overnight. I was worried about safety because he kept it on the key shelf(which place is easily to steal by someone!) at the entrance. So I asked "Please make a copy” again and again. but he said "No! I will return your passport tomorrow morning because I am busy with my tasks".
I've been to Italy several times though, this is the first time I've had such an arrogant reaction. How does the hotel take responsibility if you lose it?

Nice presentation in the reception area, breakfast room, restaurant, corridors and the rooms themselves. Lovely views! Good breakfast, so long as you're not looking for hot food. Friendly members of staff.
The wifi is an unsecured network that requires no password (despite a password being on display in the hotel corridors). Often, the wifi disconnected, or my phone received warnings that the wifi was unsecured, meaning my private information was risk. I believe that a secure wifi - with password - is a necessity in this day and age.

The waiters in the restaurant and breakfast room were lovely. The reception staff are very efficient with printing Covid passes and paperwork for flights. Nice Christmas decorations and paintings in the entrance hall, restaurant and breakfast areas. I got some free champagne from the restaurant one night, which made me feel very welcome!
The wifi doesn't really work and it disconnects regularly. I had to use 'roaming' on several occasions, which can cost money.

This hotel was the joker and best surprise of the north Italy road trip and I wished we could have stayed for more than one night. The hotel is really nice, huge and distinguished. The rooms have air conditioning, which is a nice bonus in this climate and can be also darkened during the day so they don't get too hot in the first place. There is parking available on a fenced in plot behind the building at no additional cost. The rooms are huge, the view is perfect (palms and sea). There is a busy street in front of the hotel, but it didn't bother us at all. The beach is practically opposite of the hotel. The whole area is nice, bustling with life without feeling too much. One can go with ferry or train to the center of genua or the little beach towns of linguria (we should have done this.. By car was no fun!).
Either way, we will return to this hotel to go on exploring from here!

The hotel itself is old however it has a great vintage vibe. Super high ceilings, very clean , great sea view and good breakfast.
The hotel is pet friendly and doesn't charge a tax for pets. The parking is quite large and it is free of charge as well.
Even though the hotel is placed in an excellent location, the surrounding streets are incredibly dirty, busy and noisy.

We got a better number with the view to the sea that was amazing, and the high seelings and the old atmoaphere of the hotel was very nice.
It was a bit loud from the street.
3.9
The high ceiling and the sea view. Unparalleled
Human touch, sense of hospitality
