Very very spacious, great heater in the bedroom, comfi beds, very nice and helpful staff, a lot of places to chill outside with great view over the city (including perfect seats for some fireworks that were shot from somewhere every evening!). Also, they were always very helping - late breakfast (which was great as well), late checkout... everything we asked, they were always ready to help and with a smile :)
The shower has hot water (after waiting quite a long time), but the shower room itself is very cold as it has a roof window that is always open. Also, it's a lot of stairs to get to the place, but the view is totally worth it (bonus, no car noises :) )

Run out of hot water on a cold night, I had to wait over an hour just for the water to get warm to take a shower

Wish the staff can speak some English to communicate

Great people and a.gorveous quaint spot!
The showers did not get warm early in the morning when I got up.

Location
Poor wifi across the property, very basic breakfast and a shameless money-grabbing manager who tried to charge us extra as a couple, even though rooms are charged at a room rate, not a per person rate. Said manager then charged us "exchange rate fees" for using our credit card to pay for the booking. I would avoid this property, there are plenty of other nice places in town.
4.5
Very nice staff, especially the girl working at the reception in the afternoon/night.
Excellent location: you can get to main attractions by foot if you like walking and don't mind stairs, the street is quiet.
Good everyday cleaning. We almost didn't cook but the suite seemed to have everything you needed for a few days, even wash dish liquid and a sponge.
Good breakfast with a marvelous view over the city (a photo attached). Very good lunchbox that the receptionist prepared us at 5:30 AM !
Stairs. Was not an issue for us at all. But just be aware that the hotel is in San Blas on a street that is very close to the San Blas Square (Good point to start excursiones, for example), and it is only accessible by stairs. And there are small staircases in the hotel itself: to go to the room, to the reception, to the breakfast room, inside the suite.

We stayed 2 nights before and 3 nights after our trek to Machu Picchu. We stored luggage with them and were too lazy to find another place. We liked the warm beds and view from the terrace. Room 9 is spacious and has a separate water closet. The location is good, in San Blas, lots of shops and cafes nearby, quiet with a local rather than tourist vibe, 10 min walk to Plaza de Armas, but the hotel is 3-5 min uphill from nearest road, which is tough with luggage and at altitude.
We had no hot water for the first 4 nights and difficulty communicating with the staff. They told us different things: run the water for 10-15 minutes, we'll fix it, we can't fix it, try the shower in a different room. Finally, on our last night, when we were one of only 2 groups there (because of protests), they said tell them an hour before you want to shower and we'll turn on the boiler. The wifi and breakfasts were worse than we had on our trek to MP. We had to sit in the cold area below the front desk to get a signal and opted to eat out a few mornings (highly recommend Cicciolina). As we were leaving for the airport at 5am, the staff said they needed to run our credit card, when they had many opportunities the day before to ask us.

hotel clean
the wifi was a bit on and off

we were stranded in Cusco due to the political protests, and the hostel was very kind to let us stay indefinitely until things became safer. there is very nice outdoor space overlooking the city and the hotel is very peaceful and secluded. the breakfast provided each day is very good! and our room had a kitchen, so we were thankful to make some meals in the 5 nights we stayed there.
the wifi connection is very weak in most places. our room living room was also a bit dark and uncomfortable, we preferred to spend time in the shared areas outside.

very comfortable, very good breakfast and well located
The room didn’t have good wi-fi connection, there were water cuts, and the curtains in the room were really thin

beautiful views, nice people
views sometimes means hard walk hehehe

Property let us check in early and allowed us to have breakfast too. For this reason we would recommend this place. It was comfortable and safe. Just a little inconvenient as we needed to walk up and down city streets in order to get to where we wanted to go...not their fault!
Location to city center and activities.

The breakfast is very good.I like how organic and healthy the food is.
The walk up hill to the hotel is very tiring.

the staff, the location and the property!
the property is located in a non car accessible pebble road. we had to climb steps to get to the property

Loved this hotel and wish we had booked for longer! excellent facilities and so comfortable!
Everything was great.

Beautiful view. The hotel itself had cute decor and then there is an outdoor courtyard area with a beautiful view of the mountains. There is also complimentary breakfast. The staff was very friendly and helpful
The shower took awhile to heat up, but it might just be the area or location in general and not the specific hotel. We didn't mind too much, but it is a bit of a walk uphill to the hotel entrance. the street is not accessible by car, so you'll have to walk uphill to get to the hotel, but we didn't think it was too bad

Breakfast choices were delicious. Rooms were very spacious with kitchenettes, too. Staff was quite accommodating, helping arrange taxis and to-go breakfasts our group of 13 travelers before and after our Inka Trail trek. Super clean, well maintained, great value and an amazing view of Cusco from the terrace and breakfast room.
No access by automobile to the hotel. Had to walk two or three short blocks uphill to get there.

nice view, good to have little more space if you stay a little longer
breakfast (not like in the pictures)

We somehow got upgraded to a suite much bigger than we anticipated. It was so nice to have room to stretch out! The room was beautiful and clean. The view over Cusco was nice. Everything was pretty quiet from inside our room. We didn't utilize the kitchen much so can't comment too much except they did have it fully stocked with appliances and dishes/utensils. Breakfast was delicious! Did not see eggs the first day, but the second day there were hardboiled eggs. Otherwise had bread, cheese, deli ham, cereals, cookies. There was juice and some very thick coffee (recommend watering it down with the hot water!). Would stay again and would definitely recommend!
The location is a little bit sketchy coming in at night, appeared to be right on the edge of some not-so-pleasant neighborhoods. But we felt very safe inside our room and the front door is always locked which we appreciated.

Clean and super comfortable. The rooms were very quaint and quite large. Our was on two floors and had an amazing view of all of Cusco. Tea was given upon arrival which we enjoyed. breakfast was included but we had to leave a 6:00am so the owner prepared breakfast to go which was amazing. Thank you so much La Morada for the great experience. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

I loved the distribution of the room, it has a little kitchenette downstairs and a sofa. Bed was super comfortable. The staff was real nice and cleaned the room every day. The hotel has beautiful views from Cusco from a lot of points, specially from the terrace. Was more than I expected.
It's not that I didn't like it, but you've got to have in mind you need to walk up stairs to get to the hotel. But every hotel in the San Blas area is like that cause the neighborhood is in a hill. On the plus side, San Blas is so much nicer and quieter that the area near Plaza de Armas (and there's great restaurants and bars there too) and you are still at a 5min walk from there.

so cleans and the views were to die for!
it’s a bit of a hike, but worth it for the views

I would give this property 20 stars if possible. The service was impeccable, the place is charming and the rooms were incredible.
A little far from a road.
4.5
Nice, clean hotel with amazing views on Cusco. Really enjoyed the calm and tranquil atmosphere — no road, you need to take some stairs to get there. Fully equipped kitchen (without a dining table though), beds were really comfortable.
The only downside for me was really poor breakfast: one egg, jam and butter enough only for one sandwich, and fruits.
4.5
Location is great, our room was spacious with a kitchenette, the view over the town is wonderful!
There was very little information shared when we arrived.

Really helpful stuff in the hotel. Also good breakfast. They prepare us breakfast boxes when we were leaving for the day trip in 5 in the morning.
