Good location, secure, near the town, two nearby restaurants. Quiet, had good sleep, Fred provided good french style breakfast. Fresh coffee, oj, fresh bread, jam, pastries, butter, choice of cereal.building had been great , good features.
Run down, building desperate need of love and a jolly good clean. Dusty surfaces, lack of maintenance. Please change the toilet brushes and towels.

Host and breakfast good.
Entire building smells of old dog. Dog hair all around ground floor. Bathroom not clean, bath damaged.

nothing it was absolutely rank! how on earth this is on booking.com
there was a vile smell, so dirty, wouldn’t eat as it was so bad. the smell of urine throughout the chateau is one I can’t describe just that you could taste it as well.

The room was situated in a 19th century building. It is badly maintained but has its charms. Breakfast was ok and the man serving us was friendly. 10 min walk from the town center.
Unfortunately it did not match our expectations. Way overpriced for what you get. There is an old dog trapped in the building. His hair is everywhere also in our room at the second floor. We even found dogfood in our room. His scratch marks are on walls and furniture in the room. Toilet dirty and not working properly. Dead flowers in our room. We stayed one night. The owner was absent. Dodgy payment method so we ended up paying in cash receiving an unvalid invoice. Not recommended.

The host was welcoming and the breakfast was ok.
The property inside and out is dilapidated and dirty. There were cobwebs in the bedroom and between the balustrades on the staircase and it is dusty too. There were watermarks on the wall from a leak in the room and black mold on the walls / ceiling in the breakfast room. The WiFi did not work. It was not a comfortable or enjoyable place to relax or stay.

Staff were very helpful, nothing was too much trouble, lovely breakfast.
Would have preferred a shower cubicle opposed to bath with shower head, hot water was very slow coming.

First of all, we were welcomed by Frederic, who is a great host! Frederic is very friendly and helpful and really made our stay great.
The chateau is charming and has a lot of character. The location is very convenient and this accommodation is dog friendly.
The next time we stay in this area we definitely will stay at Chateau des Thermes again!

Easy to find and close to the motorway, in a small industrial town.
Fred, the host, called us before we arrived to check on our progress which was appreciated. He was charming and helpful on our arrival and provided a good breakfast the following morning.
The "chateau" must have been quite something in its day. Unfortunately its day was a very long time ago and it is now a mere shadow of its former glory.
It is run down and not as clean as we would have liked. However the sheets were clean, thankfully.
2.5 / 5.0
The hosts and that our dogs were allowed to walk around without a leash
The lack of maintenance, cleanliness and location
