Schönes Wanderwochenende am Rhein mit einer tollen Unterkunft

. Wir waren am zweiten langen Maiwochenende zu siebt hier, um rund um Bacharach zu wandern. Die Unterkunft hat unsere Erwartungen übertroffen. Sehr freundlicher Empfang durch unsere Gastgeber mit ausführlichen Erklärungen des Hauses und der Umgebung. Die beiden Ferienwohnungen entsprachen den Bildern und waren mit allem ausgestattet, was wir benötigt haben. Es gab auch Getränke - Wein, Bier und nichtalkohlische Getränke zu einem fairen Preis. Das leckere Frühstück war vielseitig mit frischen Zutaten und reichhaltig. Es gab gekochte Eier oder Rühreier. Extrawünsche wurden auch erfüllt. Klasse war auch, dass wir alle beim Frühstück zusammen sitzen konnten. Es gab von keinem von uns, der mit der Unterkunft nicht zufrieden war. Ich würde auf jeden Fall wieder kommen, wenn ich wieder in die Bacharach Urlaub machen möchte. Vielen Dank für alles.

The host and hostess were very friendly and informative. I was picked up from the station and given a guided tour of the town and surroundings. I was dropped back at the station when I left.

Exceptional

Loved everything! The apartment is very comfortable, fully equipped and quiet. Really nice stroll to the town centre, along the vineyards and medieval buildings . Amazing hosts, Ingrid and Helmut, warmly welcomed us with tea and lots of info and useful tips. They even surprised us with eggs and chocolates for Easter!

Can't fault a thing!

Cozy, inviting, lovely way to explore the Rhine.

Ingrid met us at the train station. She gave us a great introduction with coffee and tea. She was very accommodating and such a wonderful host. I would recommend the location for many of the hikes in Steeg as well as accessibility to Rhein activities.

Internet was a bit spotty. In order to get wifi you had to be closer to the bedrooms on the top floor and then you would be able to access it by the kitchen area.

The best!

Size, comfort, decor, amenities of the room, quiet, wonderful hosts, delicious breakfast, helpful tourism information, I've been traveling for decades and this is one of my favorites. The location is about a 20 minute walk from downtown Bacharach, host can pick you up at station, otherwise it is pleasant to walk thru the area.

Bacharach's holiday home with flair

Thank you Ingrid and Helmut for welcoming me into your wonderful B&B. Your service was nothing but excellent by picking me up from the station, giving me a tour of Bacharach and trying to look for me in town to inform me that I left my phone on the breakfast table. Not finding my phone in my pockets while I'm out sightseeing was scary, but what was more scary was finding out during check-out breakfast that the 8am local train to Mainz was cancelled. Thank goodness I double-checked my train on DB app and thank you Ingrid for your suggestion to take my IC train in Koblenz, and I made it to my next destination as planned. Your B&B deserves to be a holiday home with flair as advertised on your brochure.

Sad to hear that this will be your last year running your B&B. However, I wish you both a happy retirement and I hope that you get a new buyer who will run the B&B as well as you do.

It was a great, clean, comfortable space. The host was gracious and very friendly.

It was a bit of a trek into town especially considering the heat, but it was a beautiful walk about 20 minutes and in hindsight it was well worth it

Wunderbar!!!!!

The hosts, Ingrid and Helmut, were the most wonderful hosts we ever experienced. They made us feel like family. Their property and garden were beautiful and relaxing. It was an easy 15-20 minute walk into old walled town of Bacharach. the room was spacious, extremely clean and comfortable. Breakfast was superb and generous. Ingrid spoke fluent English. our hosts went out of their way to make sure we had a wonderful visit to Bacharach, giving us local information on things to do and see during our stay

Good location, friendly and informed hostess, wonderful breakfast.

We had a wonderful and positive experience at Ferienwohnungen Kachel. The breakfast was absolutely wonderful, with everything you could want from a breakfast. We had a wonderful hostess, who provided us with excellent information regarding the area around Bacharach.

I can't find anything negative regarding our stay.

Fantastic location with all the comforts of home, great hosts, minutes to Bacharach and Rhine River

Both of us liked everything from the first greeting through to the end of the stay, We did not want to say goodbye. The room had all the comforts of home (bed was comfortable, room had a seating area, WIFI, computer desk w/chair, plenty of hooks to hang clothing, closet space, shelves, even provided an adapter for your US plugs!.) Breakfast had a wide variety of foods with even your choice of fried or boiled eggs! Choice of breakfast times also. The Garden is excellent for relaxing and having a glass of wine. Both hosts are fantastic and share a wealth of local information. You are about 2 minutes from the town of Bacharach by car. Walking or riding a bike is also possible. Free parking is a plus.

Having to leave! It was actually the first place we were sad to leave behind in a long time.

This is not a holiday apartment but a double room in the hosts' private house.

Location

It was advertised as Ferienwohnung = holiday apartment including terrace and separate entrance door, but what was actually booked was a hotel-like double room in the same house where the hosts live, meaning you need to walk through the hosts' private living room and corridor in order to get to the room. No privacy. The price would have been great for a holiday apartment, but not for a double room in a shared house.
