* TIPS: -My family's house to receive your family! Located 150 meters below the Airport (50 meters from Avenida Sol Nascente, which is already paved and 1500 meters from the tourist shopping center of Avenida Monte Verde), it provides one of the best views of the region's New Year's fireworks display! Monte Verde is still excellent for those who want to escape the carnival muvuca (there is rarely a crazy person with the loud sound). Close to everything; bakery, pharmacy, markets, restaurants, without the need for a car. If you want the peace of the countryside, Monte Verde is the ideal place! But if you're looking for adventure and adrenaline, there are several options; * ATV tours on rural trails with the possibility of visiting a waterfall that in the summer you can take a dip. For the little ones above 5 years old there is a track for beginners at the entrance to the city; A must-have lemon juice with banana and the best artisanal milk candy in the universe! River with waterfall for swimming, small museum with antiques and visit to the farm's attractions. ) or Cachoeira dos Pretos (150 mts of waterfall); * Rafting with entrance to Prainha, on the highway between Monte Verde and Camanducaia; * Mega Tiroleza and Paintball, located about 7 km before the city entrance portal; * Trails along some of the highest peaks of the Serra da Mantiqueira with varying degrees of difficulty, from Pedra Redonda, easily accessible to children and the elderly without mobility restrictions (view of the entire Paraíba valley, stunning!) even difficult hikes, with the hiring of guides, such as Pedra Partida or Pico do Selado; * Horse and carriage rides with docile animals; * Mountain Bike along the trails and streets of the city; * Train with guides that give tourist information about the city; *Ice skating.
If the tour is gastronomic, whether romantic for two or as a family, the city will not disappoint! If the hunger is very great, leaving Camanducaia, about 1km on the right side of the highway, there is the Restaurant Pé na Roça: simple and delicious cuisine, with family service. Cozinha Mineira is well represented by Galinha da Roça (at the roundabout at the entrance to the city), or O Caipira (near Banco Bradesco). Simple homemade meals are well served at the Vila Amarela Restaurant (at the roundabout), at the Tenne Restaurant (next to the Chalana Restaurant) or at the Sabor Mineiro (Avenida Sol Nascente). At the bottom corner, in relation to my house, they make roasted meats and an excellent self service (simple, but very good). Trout is very good at Paulo das Truta, with visits to the fish breeding tanks. The Marcius restaurant has a friendly price for fish and the trout au gratin with crab in the Vila Amarela restaurant is excellent! There are several Italian restaurants, Chicão, close to the airport, is great and has a panoramic night view of the wonderful city. Il Vero Polpetone at the entrance to the city has a Polpetone that is not of this world! Pizzas and pastas at Casa da Pizza and Cantina Romana. Almost all restaurants have excellent wines, serve fondues and live music. The Fondue house has a queue on weekends. Be sure to visit Espaço Adélia (at the end of Av. Rising Sun, near. renting horses), a place with lots of greenery, fountains and a very friendly owner, serving Minas Gerais food and soups for groups over 6 people. For beer lovers, there is an artisanal beer house, Fritz, with German cuisine and snacks.
Many locations in the shopping center for sweets, cheeses, sausages, peppers, knitwear, cachaça. Always search and bargain! Several local chocolatiers like Gressoney which has a strüdel with delicious ice cream! And the famous Montanhês chocolate, from Campos do Jordão, needs no comment.
At Galeria Celeiro, in addition to the numerous souvenir shops, in the morning, squirrels can be seen very close up being fed.
As you can see attractions in Monte Verde abound, in addition to the wonderful mountain climate that in winter is easily below 0 ° C!
* Note: HOLIDAYS AND SEASON (WINTER): 50% increase in the standard rate
CHRISTMAS AND NEW YEARS - 100% increase in the standard rate
- Maximum Check-in time: 22: 00 hours
- Check out time: 15: 00 hours
- Respect quiet times at night so as not to disturb the neighborhood, who are permanent residents of the city!
- We do not provide bed linen, towels and blankets.
-Tip: take into consideration the weather forecast for your trip. Aside from the wonderful restaurants that the city has, the vast majority of tours in Monte Verde are outdoors, linked to ecotourism. The best time to enjoy the city is when the rain decreases: from April to September the chance of rain damaging your walk is less, as Monte Verde still has some dirt streets (which keeps the charm of the place a little and drives away the rush and muvuca of the big city ...)
