Room was spacious, private, quiet, Comfortable and cosy. The salt water pool is large, clean, bright with lots of loungers and refreshing but not too cold. Staff were super accommodating and I love that they WhatsApp updates regularly. The whole place felt like a gated community. Close to awesome restaurants and anything else you need. Wonderful value in KP!

Typical Thai shower with no door or curtain means the bathroom floor is always wet. I hate that. Would have appreciated a little more gardening on the steps to our bungalow as well as the walkway to the pool. It was overgrown with vines.

Amazing staff. The nicest people you will meet in any hotel in Thailand. Great room. Whisper quiet .beautiful landscaped gardens. Very nice comfy bed. Easy to store bags when you check out. Very safe. Very very good price.

Lack of restaurant on site really has an impact because it's quite a long walk to the closest place to eat. It's also just a little far to walk to town. So if you can handle a long walk everywhere then you will find this is one the best places for the money in Thailand.

Best place to stay in Ko Phangan

We had an amazing time staying at Phangan Akuna. Everything was great! The accomodations are very clean, very modern and well equipped. The place is very nice, you feel like staying in the middle of the jungle. There is also a nice swimming pool and a gym. And the staff was so so kind, always welcoming us warmly and always accomodating. This is one of the best place I've stayed in Thailand, I 100% recommend it to anyone looking for a great place to stay in Ko Phangan.

Amazing place to stay, kind of isolated

Such lovely staff, the gym had range of equipment, nice pool, very comfy beds and kitchen facilities.

In the middle of nowhere, need a scooter to get to the beach or shops etc.

Perfect weekend on Koh Phangan

The staff were so friendly, they always had a smile when checking us in, and whenever else we saw them. The pool is great, didn't use the gym but it looked good. WiFi was great, easily able to stream videos. Sorry walk to Sri Thanu village which has loads of restaurants, especially Eat.Co, which is amazing.

The price was a little high, but there was nothing else to complain about.

didn’t have hot water throughout my stay, staff tried to help, but with no results, for the prices they charge (3 or 4 times more the. the equal on the island) I would stay away

Excellence in a spiritual place

The ideal place to let go in a stylish environment. The rooms are spotless and very modern. The beds are super comfy. We loved the pool as well. Akuna has the friendliest staff. We are looking forward to coming back.

We would have loved a hammock or sunchair on our balcony but we also know if we would have asked we would have gotten one.

Lovely place, good breakfast, very clean bungalow and nice pool. Adorable staff. They have been very flexible as we made a mistake in our original booking dates. Very handy as they can provide you a motorbike rental service.

Great place

Very well located, surrounded by coconut trees. Swimming pool great and quite big. Breakfast was good. Could rent scooters from the hotel directly for 250 thb/day (same price everywhere on the island). The scooters are essential to enjoy Koh Phagan as it should...! The bedding was super comfortable and the rooms were very clean. We had a good time with our 3 children (aged 12, 10 and 5).

Nothing to mention except the fact that the windows could actually be opened from the outside.. would be nice to do some detailed checking/maintenance (we managed to some DIY locking), but that's Thailande 😉

Very clean and comfortable all round. Nice pool area. Very quiet.

Cannot have privacy without closing thick heavy curtains, which takes away from the view. Need light thin white veils. Breakfast served very late - from 8am - and nobody available to check out before 7am.
