A perfect well-priced base for exploring Yorkshire and beyond.

The room was really comfy, with an excellent en-suite. Breakfast was ordered the preceding evening and there was a great selection of cereals, fresh fruit, cooked breakfast and so on. There was also an option for a takeaway breakfast for an early start for example. Location was fine for evening meals, as there were two hostelries within close walking distance. The owners are very friendly and helpful.

Courtyard parking was a wee bit tight, but not really an issue as there was plenty of kerbside space.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay . We received a very personal and friendly greeting on arrival . Spotlessly clean with a very comfortable bed . The breakfast was amazing . We preordered the night before from an extensive menu that included natural yoghurt and fresh fruit - (strawberries, blueberries and melon).A full English breakfast, or other selections such as poached eggs and avocado on a muffin . Thank you

Really comfortable with a touch of luxury and we would not hesitate to stay again.

The only disappointment was that the hand held shower was out of use, apart from that our stay was faultless from the lovely welcome to our final goodbye.

We had four engineers stay and they all thanked me for picking a lovely place.

They said the owner was a bit grumpy when he was told what time they wanted breakfast.

Would highly recommend if anyone visits the area.

Excellent breakfast with very friendly and helpful staff. Ideal location with a choice of places to eat and drink only a 5 min walk.

There is a little road noise if at the front of the property but not too bad. WiFi and phone signal was a bit hit and miss, but only an issue as I needed to do some work emails.

Can’t recommend highly enough!

The attention to detail really set The Barn apart. Beautifully decorated with all accoutrements. The breakfast was lush. We are very seasoned and frequent travellers and would rate this in the top 3 of B&Bs ever.

The only issue was internet connection. Although wi-fi information is provided, the signal was very poor. I had to cancel a work meeting as wi-fi was quite weak the village is a signal black spot.

A fantastic homely place to stay if you're away working in Leeds. I'd even bring my partner here!!

Christmas Gift for the family.

This was a Christmas gift for my parents, neice and her partner, I live overseas and unable to join them. They had a wonderful time, the rooms were beautiful and the breakfast was divine. As for the friendly hosts, they went beyond what was expected, looking after my family exceedingly well. They were also happy to put the presents that I sent in there rooms for their arrival. Would thoroughly recommend.

The Barn is the finest B&B accommodation bar none.

Our stay was faultless. We received a very friendly welcome and on arrival were offered tea or coffee, provided by our hostess and served with delicious biscuits. There was also a well laden hospitality tray in the bedroom. The bed was large and supremely comfortable and the bath towels were beautifully soft and cosy. There were even complimentary slippers supplied. Breakfast was a la carte with a very varied selection and our choice of a ‘Full English’ breakfast was delicious. Everything was perfect.

Absolutely nothing - the accommodation was perfection. The property is on a busy road, which some might think will cause a disturbance, but the widows have been triple glazed to minimise any traffic noise. We were not disturbed at all.

Absolutely lovely place to stay and great value for money.

One of the most sensible, thoughtfully, and tastefully designed and furnished B&Bs I have ever seen. A marvellously good job of converting an old building. The bed was fantastic - spacious and amazingly comfortable. Having an air conditioning unit helped keep the air fresh and dry even if not needed for temperature. The triple glazing was really effective and the room was very quiet. It was easy to reach and there was good off-road parking. There were many little touches which made it such a pleasing experience, such as the home-made cookies in the room, the packs of tissues, the bedroom slippers, etc.

I honestly can't think of anything to suggest!

Good B&B

The host was lovely, the room was beautiful and the bed was one of the most comfortable hotel beds I have ever slept in (and I stay in a lot).

unfortunately there was something in the toilet when I got there. it could have been feedback as the toilet has a macerater, but it just looked like someone had a wee and didn’t flush. Also, there was mud or and dirt on the bed sheet. I don’t know how this was missed when cleaning the room but I slept in dirty bed. I could have asked for new bedding but it was late and I didn’t want to disturb anyone.

Comfortable room, lovely accommodation, friendly hosts and super breakfast.

A great find; very friendly hosts; lovely room with lots of nice touches including more than enough tea, coffee and biscuits - including locally made cookies; fabulous breakfast with lots of options; a number of food options for evening meal in the village; 30 minutes from Leeds - we booked for cricket at Headingley.

Nothing jumps to mind. Would definitely book again and recommend.
