Situated close to the unspoiled beaches of Walkerville (2 minutes drive), Waratah Bay (15 minutes), Sandy Point (15 minutes), Fish Creek (20 minutes) and Venus Bay (20 minutes). Prom views is a beautiful place to pause. We cosied up by the fire in the evenings, walked to the local lookouts and beaches, took drives to nearby towns, beaches and the prom. A great spot to explore south Gippsland if you want somewhere a little more remote. Property manager was great, responsive to concerns and accomodating of our fur baby too.

3 Day Getaway
We had a wonderful 3 days at Shearwater. The house was perfect for us and did not disappoint from what we could see online. We really couldn't fault it in terms of cleanliness and functionality. The kitchen was very well stocked with essentials as well as every utensil and food prep item we needed. Had a lovely couple of nights on the balcony enjoying the views and the stars after dinner and the back yard served us well for a few games of Kubb. A big Thanks to Fleur who communicated brilliantly and even set up a spare bed in case we had a snorer in the group! Very thoughtful.
Looking forward to our next stay!

Highly recommend
Shearwater is simply beautiful, particularly upstairs, with views of the Prom and plenty of space for everyone. Extremely clean - the kitchen was definitely the best equipped out of all the holiday accommodation we have stayed in. There is a child gate at the top of the stairs which we really appreciated with a very active 2 year old! Beds are very comfy. Located in a quiet area close to lots of great walking tracks. We will definitely be back. Thanks Fleur for all of your helpful advice and information leading up to and during our stay!

Shearwater Review
Shearwater is the perfect accommodation for this location. It has everything that you need for a holiday with excellent quality. The house offers two living areas offering flexibility for families or a group of friends. The resources shared by the manager of things to do in the area was fantastic and it was sent in a timely manner that allowed for prior planning and a sense of excitement. Shearwater was exceptionally clean, stylish, comfortable and the amenities, decking, fireplace were enjoyed by all and contributed to a relaxing holiday for all. The house and the Gippsland area are a well-found treasure. Thank-you!

quiet escape
Location was lovely, with a short drive to beach. Great space for a large family/group. Good place to base yourself and discover South Gippsland. Only downside was not a lot of hot water that for a place that sleeps 10 people. Highly Recommend.

Great house in peaceful location
We stayed with a group of friends. The house had plenty of space and food furnishings. It’s got great views and a fireplace so a good place to hang out. Not all that much to do in Walkerville and the beach is a short drive away but all up it was a good place for a quiet weekend.

Wonderful House in an awesome spot!
Absolutely gorgeous house that was huge! There were 4 of us and we could have fit another family!! Wood Fire was going when we arrive which was a nice touch - so were the Freddo frogs on the kids beds. Nice location close enough to the prom but also plenty of other things to do. Fleur provided an extensive document outlining activities in the area. Could go on and on... well worth the price of admission.

Magnificent house and Surroundings
This was our second visit to shearwater both times have been outstanding we arrived to very clean and well appointed house, very toddler friendly with a High chair, baby gate at the top of the stairs and plenty of toys to keep them busy.
During the day we explored the local towns, beaches, waterfalls and Wilson’s prom so much to see and do, we relaxed at night by the wood heater watching the weather roll in the views from the house are fantastic, one of our favourite holiday houses we will be sure to return!

The home is as good as it looks in the photos
An impressive home to enjoy an extended family weekend away. The large living, kitchen and deck area were in constant use. It was pristine when we arrived. Also loved the special touches, good supply of coffe beans, library of cooking books to browse, plentiful wood supply and welcoming chocolates and wine. A very quiet spot to relax and spread ourselves out. Highly recommend it as a special place to enjoy.

Excellent, very comfortable and spacious house. Highly recommended. Five stars
We enjoyed our stay at Shearwater. The house was very clean, well furnished and very comfortable. The kitchen was very well equipped with everything we needed for our stay. There was a generous amount of non-perishable items in the pantry. There were lots of toys to amuse our 3 year old grandson, a very good selection of books, journals, DVDs and board games for the adults. From the main living room windows there is a long view over Waratah Bay towards the peaks of Wilsons Promontory. The is a smallish beach about a km from the house, but the best beach is at Waratah Bay. Fleur is a very warm and friendly person. She responded to our emails and messages promptly and helpfully. We can highly recommend Shearwater
