Beautiful hotel; amazing staff; fantastic experience on all levels.
There were a lot of dogs in the hotel, which did make a lot of noise during the evening and early mornings.

This hotel has a very good location for our needs. Certainly the best breakfast in Cascais. A classic hotel with great staff and great cleanliness.
Unfortunately a little uncomfortable beds that take some getting used to. Spa was not open.

Breakfast amazing. Pool area basic and some items switched off. Room was standard and a bit to old for us but this is probably our problem as we knew the history of the building pre booking.
The room was very dated and the bes was hard.

The colonial grandeur, the staff, cleanliness, cosy, good spa and gym. And we could take our dog! Fab hotel

The Hotel Palacio Estoril is the grande dame of hotels in this area. It is a hotel with history, and the fabulous décor reflects her grand style.
The rooms are well appointed as are the bathrooms with thick cotton towels and bath robes.
The Banyan Tree Spa is superlative. The best spa ever.

Fitness club fun /breakfast first class / location ok. Nice history including that of Bond film connection.
Room small and with no decent view. Bed not comfortable. There are much better rooms and beds so we got their lowest option.

lovely building and pool with good facilities and great location
the service. not the fault of the staff as they were very nice, there just wasn’t enough of them and so everything was painfully slow

Location great
It states pet friendly Hotel but there is no where to
take your pet except the room.
it would be nice to sit on a terrace somewhere.
This is not pet friendly .
rather don’t advertise as pet friendly.

Hotel Palacio is an outstanding place to stay. It is well managed, the staff are friendly and working together effectively. We have been told that they are short on employees, but this did not affect us negatively in any way. We loved the pool (although some "friendly" people drop their towels to reserve their spots before breakfast and do not show up before 11am or so). Breakfast is simply excellent, and we also enjoyed the bar. Housekeeping is fantastic, and everybody speaks English well. We had a room with sea view (pool side) with a balcony which was a great choice. The spa can be reached through a tunnel, and it offers quite some relaxing amenities.
There is some sort of night club nearby which plays loud music every (!) night until 6am - not only on the weekends.
It is obviously not the hotel's fault, but if you like to sleep with your windows open you might want to ask for a room opposite to the pool side (that would be the side of the main entrance then).

location, history, food
old furniture, room service entered the room while i was in it TWICE without knocking door, reception refused to let me delay departure by 45min

Loved the elegant outdoor pool, the Spa massage pool and the breakfast feast both included in the room price, the friendly bar, the friendly and helpful staff who actually listen to you to make sure you are enjoying your visit. The delicious fries and cocktails served to you by the pool from the Terrace.
Comfortable room, spotless bathroom with real soap. All the little touches that are there even though you didn't know you would appreciate them (various glasses for use in the room - not plastic, seats outside the pool showers to wait for friends, beautiful garden vistas from the cosy sofas inside, foreign newspapers in the lounge, a plethora of sprinkle toppings at breakfast and delicious fresh fruit; free bar welcome drink when you visit, quiet and peaceful hallways and public lounges) make this place a pleasure to return to every time. The list is long!
The Palacio has class and elegance without being condescending. I cannot recommend it highly enough.
The cheap quality shower caps, the only false note for me.

Beautiful building but very slow service.
The service is very slow and it seems some of the junior staff have been recently employed and have not been fully trained. the buffet was mediocre for a five star hotel.
