The Old world style furnishings and really comfortable room and lovely breakfast
I just felt for bed and breakfast the price is very high as in 225 euro and very expensive for one night
4.3
Very comfortable bed, large room, and good breakfast, nice gardens and view...
Shower was dated, in a bath and water went cold during shower! Dehumidifiers dotted around hotel and a slightly musty smell.
4.3
Breakfast portions were very very small (e.g. 2 small crepes) and there was very little available at the buffet.

Beds comfortable. Staff friendly.
V noisy. Could hear people overhead. Some of decor v tired

Room was very comfortable
One of the key reasons for choosing this hotel was that it had a spa. However, it was booked out when we arrived. Perhaps staff could contact guests a week or so before their arrival to remind them to make a booking or to let them know of available times. We were disappointed not to be able to avail of it.

The peace and tranquility and beauty of the dining room for dinner, soft music playing, beautiful table setting in beautiful surroundings, very friendly staff. Fabulous part of Ireland. Very peaceful for a good sleep.
Just a little more choice at breakfast for people with food intolerances would be nice.

We had Breakfast and Dinner in Seaview and both were excellent. The room was very clean and had lovely view of the bay. Bed was very comfortable.

The staff were amazing.
The location was fantastic.
5 stars for the Spa experience.
The food was nice but didn't totally warrant the high price.

lovely traditional hotel, bedrooms very comfortable and sea view from bay window, dinner was delicious, could have chosen many options from the menu, it all sounded very tasty, breakfast equally good. above all the staff are wonderful, so helpful, professional and friendly. second time staying, and will be back.
duvet was a little heavy for time of year

Good service from staff. Good dining experiences. Spa was nice, seaweed bath was a cool experience.
Rooms are somewhat dated and design could be improved on. No lift and lots of stairs with luggage depending on the room you book. Massage therapist smelled of cigarette smoke and massage could've been much better for the price.

Food was excellent in this establishment and the staff waiting on guests are VERY well trained. The food in the restaurant is excellent and worth a visit to this place just for the food. We are a COVID conscious couple and the hotel was very accommodating to seat us at a quiet spot for breakfast and dinner. We had to check out a day early due to personal circumstances and we were accommodated.
The building is old and requires more TLC for dampness and insultation. We were there in July at a time when it rained a lot and could feel the effects and the heat was on.

Staff were super helpful across bar staff, admin and restaurant. Breakfast was excellent.
Multiple minor errors in food orders, mostly inconsequential apart from bringing a ham and cheese omelette (to a vegatarian) when a mushroom one was ordered.
Dinner options were ok but didn't live up to expectations. Halibut with prawns and chilli was really just a bland cream sauce with a couple of prawns in it, the fish was unseasoned, couldn't taste any chilli. Vegetables were very boring boiled carrot, brocholli, beans, potatoes etc etc no flair.
Water in the room was temperamental. One day the shower worked fine, another it was so scalding hot (regardless of mixer tap setting) I couldn't shower.

The hotel is a fine boutique hotel with real seaview. The building is nice, the park surrounding it is wonderful. You can admire 2 m long hydrangeas during breakfast! We had a room on the second floor with sea view, we liked that a lot. The room was nice, the bed a little small for two people. The whole place is very quiet, very elegant. There is a restaurant also, we have tried it once, it is more expensive than the average in the vicinity. We did not try the spa services because we had other obligations. You need a car, because the towns nearby are not walking distance. Suggested for those who want to really stay away for a couple of days and enjoy old furniture etc.
The water-sewege system is a little outdated, the water pressure is sometimes low. The bathroom is tiny, and the windows are the old type. Overally, the hotel might think of a little modernisation to attract also younger generations.

we had the most relaxing stay, although just for a day. staff are the most wonderful and caring. the whole place is immaculately clean. loved the dinner experience - it’s alone well worth the stay, quality breakfast in the beautiful dining room was also very enjoyable the next morning
would be nice to have a small nespresso machine and a kettle in the room and information about hotel facilities like the spa/dinner , there was barely anything in the room booklet, although I’m sure staff could have helped or we could have checked online
