Beautiful Bay View!

Bayview motor inn has all the charm of yesteryear, with a whole lot of love and care. The room was immaculately clean! Fluffiest towels, beautiful linen and pillows, comfortable bed - great night sleep! Throughout the backyard area, well kept gardens, with outdoor seating, were an enjoyable way to spend the afternoon looking out over the stunning bay. Staff were warm and welcoming. Highly recommended this gem in Eden. Close to restaurants supermarkets with 5min drive. We'll be back!!

Ok for a single night.

Friendly staff. Bathroom was roomy.

Walls were thin, noise from next door early in the morning. Blinds fail to block out morning light.... if you don't want to wake up at the break of dawn it's not ideal. Wind also passing through door frame...

A major refurbishment of this property is required!

Great views from the room and the staff were friendly. For the age of the room, the cleaners did a good job. Car park provided at the front of the room.

The room was musty and the bathroom smelt very bad. The blinds barely covered the windows and the bedding was old and needs to be replaced. The restaurant was closed and looks abandoned. Basically the whole property needs a major refurbishment.

Serious maintenance is required on this property

Being able to get a room at very short notice

Firstly we were given keys to a room that was already occupied, which could have proved very embarrassing. Some of the vertical blind slats were missing or mismatched and did not close correctly so privacy was compromised. Both security chains on the front and back doors were broken or missing completely The floor from the sitting room to the bathroom was raised and I stubbed my toe (twice)

Clean and comfortable beds.Although on the highway was very quiet

bbq's didn't work,was looking forward to cooking our catch.Otherwise the place was awesome

Overpriced and will not stay again, felt unclean.

Fresh towels and sheets. Staff lovely.

It was basic, the chain locks were removed from front and back doors, the screen on the back window looked like it had been broken into. Tiles on floor leading into back door broken, tile missing in shower. Dead cockroach on floor, carpet could have been better vacuumed. Old and dated decor. Sheets felt brand new if they were they hadn’t been washed out of packet, was very itchy. Mirror behind double bed had a lot hand marks on it, not cleaned. Vertical blinds were broken, could not have privacy at the back window.

View was ok. Bedding was clean.

It was windy & there was a draft from the back door & windows. Wind whistled all night. Heater didn’t work. There was no milk so could only have black coffee/tea. Mattress was hard. Overall would not recommend this place to anyone.

Location

I wasn’t able to check in. When booking my accommodation I asked if late check in was available and the response was yes; however, on arrival there was no one on site (expected as it was after hours), no after hours contact details displayed, no lockbox to hold a room key, no answer from the only phone number I could find (phone was ringing inside reception) and no correspondence through either Booking.com, email or attempt phone call to provide instructions on how to check in late. It was nearly 11pm when we gave up trying to get hold of someone and then we struggled to find accommodation in the area at that time of night.

2 star accommodation for 4 star prices

My wife and I needed a place to stay overnight on the Sapphire Coast at short notice. The Bayview Motor Inn was the only accommodation within a 100km radius that had availability. After staying there, it's easy to see why. Avoid this place like the plague.

One expects a certain level of price hiking during peak season and to help recover post COVID lockdowns. But if the owners of a motor inn are going to charge a non-refundable advance payment of $200 per night for a small room, they should at least have fixed the broken light fittings, the jammed window latch, the loose wires, the running toilet and deodorised the stale cigarette smoke smell.

Friendly, clean, great view and comfortable.

The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The view was amazing from my room. I had two windows, a very large room and king sized bed.

Not bed for the price.

Location and view from the room were great. Bedding were clean.

There was no hairdryer, kettle were faulty, no remote for the TV. Staff said customers steal them etc. Others left things in the fridge and cleaners didn't cleared before us. Balcony door was jammed, hard to open.

Pleasant owner, good location, interesting history for the town.

The owner was really pleasant. The location is close to the town (about 2 minutes drive), and the view is excellent.

The decor is tired and dated (panelling, painted apricot), but that didn't affect the comfort, and with basic redecorating it could be excellent. The winter weather when we visited was "bracing" ;-)
