Excellent hotel

Good location, excellent beds, all comfort that a family needs. The owner is a friendly and welcoming person. He upgraded us on his own initiative from a room for 3 to an appartment for 5 without extra charge. We had a good lunch and an excellent brekfast. I highly recommend this hotel.

Freundliches zuvorkommendes Hotel

Die Freundlichkeit war super,man fühlte sich willkommen und gut aufgehoben. Es wurde einem alles gezeigt.Die Atmosphäre war sehr schön.Das Zimmer gemütlich. Das Frühstück wirklich toll.Man konnte gut dort essen.

Nichts.Für den Preis war alles super.

Het is een hotel met potentieel. Jammer genoeg was de eigenaar door omstandigheden niet aanwezig dus konden we niet optimaal van de faciliteiten gebruikmaken. Hij heeft wel voor een creatieve oplossing gezocht zodat onze overnachting kon doorgaan.

Ik denk een hotel met een leuke bar maar die was jammer genoeg gesloten daar de eigenaar onverwacht niet aanwezig kon zijn. Jammer was ook dat er geen douchegel of shampoo was in de badkamer; de hervulbare bussen waren allebei leeg….

Very good

Primarily the kind and supportive owner of the place and speaking several languages. The hotel location is in Heimbach citycenter and across a medieval castle Hengebach next to the river Rur. Nearby also easy to find restaurants and hiking trails to the surrounding hill ridges for splendid view over the area.

Overall, it was a good hotel to stay, but the value for money is just not there. It is more of a 50-60 euro range hotel than 90-100 euro. Staff were friendly, and he even called me to check my arrival. The location is also very good, just opposite the castle.

Can only recommend, was a very refreshing stay

Location is perfect , so close to castle and all other facilities. The owner is so kind , he arranged dinner and breakfast to our needs. The hotel was very clean and no noise even though it’s surrounded in the main road .

it was very cozy, the staff was very warm and welcoming and helpful, they had an affordable bar and a very tasty breakfast. 10 out of 10 I would stay there again. They were also very welcoming of my two dogs. it is a great location, you can see the top of the castle from the front door of the hotel.

I loved the property.

The unit was clean and the beds/matresses were very comfortable.

When we checked in at reception there was a lot of cigarette smoke, it was horrible. We expected better service at breakfast, we had to ask for bread, butter, yogurt etc because there was nothing left or only one bread roll etc. When we left for dinner the first night on the 31st od December, someone entered our room, removed our chrome cast from the tv and took the tv. They replaced it with an older model tv full of dust and with lots of finger marks, there were also no port for the chrome cast anymore. The lady at reception apologised and then switched the tv with another one. She said she doesn't know who entered our room. From there on we didn't feel safe leaving our belongings in the room when exploring the area. The day we checked out there was no one at reception. Me and another lady stood there, ringing the bell, but no one came. Later I just left the key and walked out. The lady who waited with me said that she was trying to get a hold of someone, because there was no bread left at the breakfast table, same problem we had.

Great hotel for family of 5

The hotel room was clean and had plenty of space for our family of 5. The location was very close to the castle, restaurants and there was parking nearby. The staff was very friendly, helpful and accommodating. They recommended restaurants, helped us make restaurant reservations (we are only English speaking), and made sure we had everything we needed. It was a perfect start to our vacation.

Exceeded my expectations

Group of 4 on a motorcycle trip. Parking of the bikes in a locked garage which is part of the hotel was a big plus. Hotel and room were clean and safe regarding COVID. The staff is very friendly and helpful.
