clear instructions for key safe to pick up room keys after reception hours
- superb location with a view on Lake Constance and just a stone throw away from Konstanz Central Railway Station (Germany) and Kreuzlingen Hafen railway station (CH)
- cleanliness
- friendly staff
- rich and delicious breakfast in buffet style with something for everyone's taste , I personally just loved the homemade yummy Swiss Bircher Muesli
- on 1st January breakfast even included a glass of sparkling wine
- if you are staying 3 days or more, you might want to take advantage of acquiring the OSKAR (Eastern Switzerland Guest Card) for CHF 15/day, including all public transport (bus/train) in the 7 eastern Switzerland Cantons and the cable car up to Mount Säntis among other things, really great value for money!
I just missed a fridge (no issue in winter times, when I just placed my foodstuff outside to keep cool) and a tea kettle to prepare hot water for a cup of tea in the evening to warm up again after a day outside in the cold, but the reception provided me with a thermo bottle of boiling water, so got this solved for me.
- otherwise nothing to dislike, it was the 3rd time I went to this place, I like it very much!

The location and friendliness
The bathroom was very bleak
8.0 / 10.0
Location is good for the bicycle path along the Rhine or Bodensee. Indoor bicycle storage room. Good breakfast included. A good budget hotel, easy walk to downtown Konstanz and restaurants, etc.
No air conditioning, which isn't unusual in Europe, but the design of the hotel means that there isn't much airflow, either. All the rooms had to keep their doors open in order to get any breeze, which of course takes away any privacy.

The location, and the view.
It was bland. It felt like staying in an American college dorm room. Nothing fancy, but it was functional.
9.0 / 10.0
The room does have the feeling of an old "locker room" just because it's a concrete room at an arena, but they've definitely made the best of the situation. It was clean and room was decorated nicely. The location might not be the best, except I ended up hanging out at an outside bar thing just accross the border so it was perfect for me that night,

we stayed for 1 night and It was exactly what we needed.
Room was ok and breakfast was good
we also forgot something in the room and they were nice enough to send it back via Post, excellent
the pillows are too big and soft but this is just personal taste.

convenient location to Konstanz harbour and old town
7.0 / 10.0
Good value for money, comfortable motel-like rooms with good wifi. The on-site restaurant is convenient, and the breakfast buffet is quite nice. The room includes free bike rental and free ice skating (while the rink is open)! The hotel is situated in Kreuzlingen, right across the Swiss border but is within walking distance from the old town of Konstanz and train station.
Check that your stay is not during the Konstanz Oktoberfest (late September-early October)! This is not the hotel's fault, but the Oktoberfest is held right next to the hotel and blasts very loud music until late in the evening, so don't expect a quiet night at those times...

Location
In need of refurbishment very noisy building work going on in the sports facility

Location was great. Nice room and could see the lake.
8.0 / 10.0
Great location for the lake and the town, really friendly team and a big room/bathroom, with a good breakfast included. No air conditioning, but the room was shaded and cool.
The sound proofing, we were on the lower of two floors and the people above made a lot of noise and banged about for hours. This was more about the disrespectful idiots above than the building, but a soft floor above or sound proofing would help.

The staf was really friendly and did the best to help
7.0 / 10.0
Very good location, although the reception is a bit hard to find as it's actually in the lobby of the arena. Excellent breakfast. Indoor bicycle parking. Very clean room with a large bathroom. Good WiFi. Note that the 4-bed rooms are hostel-like bunkbed rooms, but the beds were made up and linens and towels were included in the price.

Everything was perfect! Very clean, staff very helpful and friendly, great location next to the lake.

This hotel is the perfect option to discover both the German side of Lake of Constance and Eastern Switzerland
- the best thing is the Oskar Card, a special offer for tourists staying in Eastern Switzerland which at a bargain of CHF 10 / day offer you free rides on local SBB trains and PostAuto buses in whole Eastern Switzerland region (Ostwind transport network) and Liechtenstein and even includes touristic attractions such as museums, mountain cable cars such as the ride on Mount Säntis and much more. A must-buy!
- location is great, just a few minutes walk across the (open) border from the German railway station Konstanz (a beautiful city to discover by the way) and well connected to the Swiss Railway network through Kreuzlingen Hafen railway station (less than 10 minutes walk each). Schaffhausen / Rhine waterfalls, Sankt Gallen and cities along the lake are within easy reach from there.
- Rooms are Motel style, basic but well heated and all very clean and with a superb view on the lake and just next to the sculptures at the border (Kunstgrenze / art border) and a short walk from the lake promenade. It is so close to Germany I could still use my German mobile telephone network!
- The staff is super lovely, welcoming and helpful! I was attended by Ms. Iten and she did a perfect job, also giving me some useful information on how to check-in outside of Reception hours beforehand by mail.
- The breakfast is truly 5 * and exceeded my expectations by far! I particularly loved the New Year breakfast which included a complimentary glass of Champagne ;-). The breakfast comes very complete, normally in the form of a Buffet but due to Covid-19 restrictions was served right at the table. It is a typical Swiss breakfast with Bircher Muesli, cereals, milk, Orange Juice, Coffee, Joghurt, fruit, rolls, Croissant, cheese, Salami, ham, Jams, honey, Nutella, .... more than enough to keep saturated until the evening!
nothing to mention
- if you ask me for room for improvement, it just would be putting a water kettle in the room, some teabags and a cup in order to allow the guests to prepare a tea (especially when due to Covid-19 all the restaurants and the hotel facilities are closed).
