L’accueil franç et agréable. Un personnel à l’écoute de ses clients parlant un excellent français. Un emplacement privilégié au cœur du centre historique et à 200 mètres de la gare. Nous recommandons vivement cet établissement.

Lovely hotel right in the centre of town with private secure parking, lovely room, outdoor pool (although we didn't get to use it - one night stay) and great breakfast.

we have stayed at this hotel for years, whenever we are in Domodossola, so it is like a comfy slipper for us. The lovely old lady who is the owner is still there and is always so lovely to see her.
we were given single beds instead of a double. I think they had turned the power and heating off on the other floors that were not needed on the night we were there, so they did not have enough double beds. That was disappointing. Most of the staff were very helpful and friendly. there was one older guy, I think one of the owners, who was pretty nonchalant and seemed pretty disinterested when I asked him for assistance, and he just sat there and pointed his finger at the waitress, indicating I should ask her! It was only a minor thing and did not detract from our stay but he does not do the rest of the hotel any service. The only other disappointment was that the restaurant was closed on Sunday night when we were there and we were really looking forward to it as it is one of our favourites in the town.. It might be a good idea to make this known before guests book. Most of the restaurants are actually closed on Sunday night we found out, however we found one called Eleni, just off the main square of the old town centre and it was a find. The chef owner is a passionate chef and wine connoisseur. he ofered us a 4 course degustion menu that was extraordinary. he even threw in a couple of extra dishes for us to sample so it turned into a 6 course menu for Euro 55...excellent valuer and quality was Michelin grade

We went for the Christmas market, the location could not have been better. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
They were very busy when we arrived but as the stay went on we got to like the owners more and more - they seemed to care a lot.
Unfortunately the restaurant was booked out for both night of our stay so we had to go out for dinner, maybe Christmas parties so perhaps understandable at this time of year.
We went to a local restaurant called Plaza de toro both nights and the meals were excellent.

Do not bother coming here. The staff is incredibly rude, especially when behind the front desk, of all places! On top of that, our room was really dirty: uncleaned shower with hair stuck onto the shower tray. But cleanliness isn’t something taken into consideration altogether as the dirty cutlery at breakfast (sticky from unwashed jam) seemed to show. The dinner was also rubbish: cold, dry roasted potatoes which were clearly leftovers from the day before and a bleu fillet when a medium cooking time was asked. No offer of compensation was made after moving our complaints. Steer clear!

Location, staff, restaurant, the room and the fabulous view from the balcony. Really very nice. We had a delicious dinner in the garden. Staff were attentive in general and the ambiance was very nice. The location is extremely convenient in this lovely town. Railway is an easy 10 minutes walk. Charming.
.My one complaint is that the advertised air conditioning did not work. Nor did the fan work. I mentioned this to the manager and they indicated it would be examined. This would not have mattered if the weather had not been very hot (36-38 degrees C).

The room was nice and clean, with an amazingly comfortable bed.
There was no balkony as the room was on forth floor and there is no mini bar and not even a water bottle in the room. The personnel is not very welcoming or friendly, I was not provided with any additional information re breakfast time, or WiFi. My special request regarding plant based milk for breakfast was ignored but they had some as we found out in the morning. Language can be a challenge as several do not speak english. The breakfast did not contain a high variety, mostly croissants and sweet and packaged stuff, no fruits or dark bread available.

Position and generally a nice building.
I think due to Covid, the staff are not there. I saw 3 different people but none seemed very competent. I didn’t need much so there was no problem. I think they were very empty. The breakfast was very basic. Like a 2 star hotel. I was offered no choices except what was on the table in packets plus a roll and a croissant.
However if you’re using the Simplon pass it’s a decent stopover and I’ll use it again.
