We had a lovely stay at the Moyness House. We only stayed for one night in Inverness but location was perfect - about 10 mins walk to downtown. Owner is a perfect host. House is extremely clean and our room was great. Breakfast was super tasty.

Location
Room quite small, no shower

Great location. Host was rather insistent re parking and dictated the exact angle to park~ had to be facing a particular direction and had to be reversed in. A bit odd.
Room was comfortable but not clean. Carpet grubby and hadn’t been cleaned up to the skirting board for a while . The bed was comfortable with the bedding a little tired could do with freshening up.
We were given a demonstration of how to use the very noisy Saniflow type of toilet and there were a ridiculous number of notices re what not to put in the toilet.
There was a lack of sockets near the bed for charging phone etc which would have been useful.
We should have been given a ‘ superior’ king size or double room as was chosen and paid for.
Definitely not either.
Nothing else available and no comment or apology given.

Breakfast was always a pleasurable experience. The server was a lovely, friendly woman. Lots of choices and the food was tasty. The place was spotless and had lots of character. The staff were helpful with our travel questions.Loved that it was located 2 blocks from the beautiful Ness River and the city centre. We walked to the train and bus stations.
We were disappointed that so many places close down on Sunday and Mondays. Did not like that we had to pay in cash but that is not the normal situation there.

Breakfast was excellent, although too much for me. Husband scoffed the lot though. Highly recommend.

All good. Delicious breakfast with fresh fruit salad. Very nice.
Owners were not around when I arrived. That was ok because there was a number to phone, but I would have felt safer initially if someone had been there to greet me and show me my room.

Just a short walk from Inverness city centre. Late check-in was made possible and I was welcomed by a very friendly host John. My room was excellent in size and comfort and the heating was on when I arrived. The bathroom came with a bath tub (which I did not mind but appreciate!) and was otherwise perfect. Cute dining room and a variety of breakfast options including cereal and muesli, fruit with yogurt, plenty of toast and a traditional Scottish breakfast. The big portions were perfect for the long day ahead.
The vegetarian breakfast sausages were out, but I got an extra portion of mushrooms instead!

Great stay close to Inverness downtown. Good to have a parking spot on property. Great breakfast!

Breakfast was ok but felt was being rushed to finish.
Probably the worst room I have ever stayed in. Small pokey room, no where to hang clothes, no seat.
Room was scruffy and a mix up of all sorts of decor/kit and looked like it could do with a good clean.
Door to room was in passage between kitchen and dining room and I was disturbed very early by staff preparing breakfast.
Generally the room reminded me of my student digs in the mid 80s and not recommended.

Absolutely fantastic. All the wee details just made it very special and I highly recommend staying here.

We arrived late but still had a warm welcome. Our host John did a great job as host and chef for breakfast which was excellent and the staff were equally friendly and helpful. We stayed at the beginning and end of our tour in 2 different rooms but both were great. The first had its own little lounge which was good for us. We had been let down by the airline and had to extend our final stay and although initially it seemed we would have to change rooms John was able to arrange for us to keep the same room. It was a lovely big bedroom with a large and small double bed and a large bathroom with a jacuzzi bath, luxurious!
The Location was great too, quiet with plenty of parking onsite yet just off the A82 for easy access but also a short walk to the Town Centre, restaurants, riverside, Cathedral, etc.

There was a little confusion regarding what to orfer for breakfast. The menu could be a tad clearer.

We really enjoyed our stay here. Very nice property.
Breakfast was great and the most important thing is the location. It's 10 min walk away from the centre ( Inverness castle, high street and the bridge)
