Lively and economic place to stay for a rumbustious break

Very much at the centre of things the rooms are accessible until very late (or early!) at night, with food and teh bar available right below (or from one of the other establishments beside and behind the Piñupe. The food in the Piñupe is very good value, with large quantities of all the Basque standards. Staff speak quite good English and are very friendly.

This accommodation is very closely attached to a bar and restaurant which is busy from morning to late in the evening, as are the neighbouring bars. Once the revellers subside the bars start dumping glass bottles, a few hours after which the streets are cleaned; very creditable, but noisy! Possibly we had the worst of it as we stayed during the heatwave, so all windows had to be open all night. Could be just the place if you want to eat, drink, be merry and then sleep like a log. But beware if you are seeking a quiet stay, or are a light sleeper.

Location in town was good. We were initially given the key to someone else's room, but this was rectified quickly.

Good location in centre of town. Met my requirements and allowed me to keep my bicycle in my room, on the top floor.

Reception is in the bar of the hotel. It was busy in the middle of the day and I had to wait a long time to check in as the staff were more interested in serving bar patrons. The hotel guest in front of me was given a room that was already occupied. The room was clean enough but rather tired. Quite noisy.

- Location was good

- Food (sandwiches) were very poor - Rooms and property in general is quite dated (more so than the photos) - E.g one reading light in room didn’t work and gap in worn shower sealant

The room was clean and relatively calm even with two restaurants at each side

We slept in a cloud of fried eggs. The hotel has its own restaurant downstairs, open till late. All the smell of the kitchen found its way into the room.

Correct, just for one night

Localisation is great and restaurant has got nice food.

Hotel hasn’t got elevator and we stay on 3rd floor. Entrance of hotel is comunicated directly to bar/restaurant, rooms are over restaurant, it means rooms smell fried food( at least mine’s) all day/night. Price over quality is expensive.

Good value stay in a beautiful town

The staff was very friendly. We arrived on a Saturday night and the bar downstairs had a nice atmosphere and delicious pintxos and wine. The room was clean. The town is small and the hotel is located a few short blocks from the beach. Lekeitio is a beautiful town!

The beds were not very comfortable. We arrived on a Saturday night, so there was no parking nearby. The town has 2 free parking lots at the top of the hill at its entrance coming from both directions. We parked there and walked down the hill to the hotel. It was not so bad, just took us longer to get to the hotel with our stuff than we were anticipating.
