Great place to stay, exceed expectations.

Perfect place to stay for a family, grocery nearby, good restaurants walkable distance. Quiet area of 7 miles beach, pool is large. All common areas are clean. A?C and WiFI are top notch. The staff is friendly. We got beach chairs and umbrellas and they have a set of board games to borrow. Quite enjoyed the balcony (with screens so no mosquitoes). The place exceeded my expectations. No beach by the resort due to erosion, yet you can still go see sunset and swim by the resort. You walk 15-20 minutes and you can be at a great sandy patches. The resort also has shuttle to bring you to the beach.

Minor thing only the fire detector was super sensitive, your burn a toast and it was starting off. A suggestion would be to provide each unit a drying rack, this rack can then be put in the balcony to dry up clothes, towels, swimsuits.

I would gladly stay here again.

The condo had been updated and was larger than I expected. The pool was very clean, had a shallow section for kids, a jacuzzi and a grill. There were plenty of dishes and essential cookware. While not directly in the beach, there is access within 100 meters. Beach towels were provided! The front desk and housekeeping staff were pleasant and helpful wi the any question/requests.

There was only one minor annoyance - the washer and dryer were a bit loud. The plus side is that there WAS a washer and dryer in the unit!

Perfect place for families and groups. Not super fancy but comfortable and clean with plenty of space.

This was the perfect property for us. I traveled with my 2 young adult daughters and one of their friends. It was in a great location convenient to everything. We felt like we were staying in a condo/ apartment with two bedrooms, two full bathrooms, and plenty of living space. We loved having space to spread out. The beds were comfortable. Having a washer and dryer was very helpful. We enjoyed having coffee on the patio in the mornings. The kitchen was stocked with all basic utensils and appliances. The pool area was very nice. As others have mentioned, this is not a fancy resort so if you are looking for a resort experience you will be disappointed. It also does not have beach access nearby due to beach erosion. The nicest beaches are a few minutes away by car. I would stay here again.

I wish it had direct beach access, but that is out of their control. There were a couple minor things that needed to be fixed and staff was an immediate to respond.

Superb

Our unit had been completely upgraded and modernized. Very large, spacious kitchen with a modern oven, full-sized fridge, washer & dryer. The bedrooms were much larger than expected. Two double beds in one bedroom and a queen bed in the other bedroom. The bathrooms were topnotch. The unit also had a nice patio. Close enough to the pool, so I could quite easily watch the kids. Excellent location. The photos on the website don't do the place justice.

It was acceptable for a few days at the end of a longer trip, but not enjoyable.

The location is good. Close to George Town, good dining, and shopping options. Internet was good and the pool is fine. Staff were very pleasant.

The furniture is old and uncomfortable (the sofa is in three pieces and they move independently when you sit on them). The mattresses left everyone with sore backs and poor nights sleep (even children). The kitchen, while spacious, is not well equipped with cooking utensils and dishes. It is several years overdue for a refresh. While the water heater was not working when we arrived, the team was responsive and replaced it within a day. There is also no beach remaining at that location, and while we didn't care, others may.

Nice, but....

Reasonably nice hotel, on the water, but no beach. Beach within walking distance. Really good restaurants very close and busses run daily. Swimming pool and hot pool, clean and nice, with large patio area.

Water not hot in the shower, but hot at bathroom sink and kitchen in both condos, different stays during the week. No beach, access to the water but very rocky.

My time at SMBR during May 2023

Great access to restaurants and stores. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Condo had all the amenities of home.

Had to walk a good distance to the beach to find an area that didn't have too much seaweed or rocks. I'm not blaming the resort, just something for folks to be aware of.

Excellent place to stay!

We loved the beach access. We loved the screened in back patio. We loved the relaxing atmosphere of the pool. We loved the water features at the pool. Over all our experience at this resort was phenomenal.

The water temperature didn't really permit one to use the master bedroom jetted tub but there was a hot tub down at the pool side.

it suited us as we were only there as a stop over till our villa was ready but there is no beach there due to erosion but you could walk a bit further down to find more sand

This property is up in the tourist strip. I would have no hesitation to recommend it highly.

Easy check in and check out. Apartment was very clean. New appliances. If you plan to cook, there is everything you could need. Spacious kitchen with washer and dryer. Couldn't have asked for more. Good food within walking distance. Peppers has great jerk. Coconut Joe's, right across the street, is adequate.

There wasn't anything I didn't like.

We know GCM quite well and did not need to be on the beach. Great pool, accommodation really nicely kept. Excellent facilities and team. Location good for car hire and restaurants

Noisy chickens but this is an island problem and not the property

Laid back, comfortable days around the pool with perfect opportunities for littles strolls.

We liked that it had a lovely swimming area, especially for littles ones as we have a toddler. They also provided some floats at the pool which was fun. Overall we had a lovely time and didn't have to venture far to find entertainment, food or amenities. We really appreciated an early check in as well.

The kitchen was a bit lacking in that it didn't have a kettle and one or two other things I would say the space needed. We had a very grimy looking electrical tin opener which I just couldn't get myself to use. Also, we missed bingo and wish they would have told us when we checked in that there was a group activity happening at the pool - not a biggie but would have been cool.

Good deal if you understand lack of attached beach

Spacious accomodations, great pool, helpful staff.

Promotional materials did not make clear that there is currently NO beach attached to the property, due to erosion. Neighboring beaches are a few minutes walk and chairs and umbrellas were provided to take with us, but property was definitely not transparent about this until we received the confimation email a few days before arriving. (And issue is not brand new, apparently.) Apartment needs some basic upkeep, like changing water filter on fridge (alert says it is due) and sharpening knives, which were very dull and hard to use.

This was our family vacation before school started back up.

This property fit my family’s needs incredibly well. The pool was fantastic. Having a washer/dryer in the unit proved extremely helpful. Plenty of space and close to a lot of restaurants/bars. Great location and comfortable stay. The island is paradise. I would definitely stay here again.

I’m not a big fan of scents, and the rooms - while clean and quite comfortable - had that artificial fragrance that I dislike.
