Excellent location, pool and both restaurants couldn’t be better, staff were lovely and the treatment room was stunning.
Lots of ants in the room, broken toilet seat, air conditioner was noisy for the first few hours (squeaking and clicking) effecting our sleep, the shower was luke warm in the evening.

Incredible views, great design and decoration
Delicious restaurant with relaxing music
Nice pool with comfy seatings
Super friendly staff at the reception, the spa, the pool and the restaurant, always going the extra mile and caring about their guests - special mention to Lydia, the first and last big smile we saw at Verina Astra :) THANKS!
Great pottery class arranged for us by the hotel
Memorable stay, I would have kept my room for the whole summer 😍
Minor details like e.g.:
Soundproofing in the room could be improved
Horrible green pack of Lays oregano chips doesn't fit at all into the neat and beautiful room decoration
Some cables under the "desk" in the room can be seen from the bed and could be hidden

Beautiful peaceful setting with stunning views.
Courteous staff.
Overall design.
This property has such potential but there are a few significant issues that took from our 24 hours there:
- transport to/from the hotel/port: this really needs to be improved. We had to ring the hotel to organise a taxi for us while we waited and wandered aimlessly around the port. Our taxi cost us €23 each way - expensive! This should be included or at least streamlined.
- The pool is *very* cold. Despite the beautiful setting, when your teeth are chattering it’s hard to enjoy! Maybe in hotter weather (we visited in a cooler than average May) it’s cold temp is welcome respite?
- Expensive ++++ minibar and only water free in the room.
- No welcome drink.

It was an absolutely beautiful haven and luxurious escape from the world. Every setting was stunning and the staff and service was fantastic. The perfect spot for a true escape.
I loved everything about this holiday and location. Nothing I would have changed. Definitely somewhere I would recommend and would go back to.

Rooms and outside space are fantastic. Staff very friendly. The road to the hotel could be improved though and have better signage.

We stayed here for our honeymoon and had an absolutely amazing time. The views from the room were breathtaking and idyllic and the room itself was beautiful. We stayed in the Indus room, and it was well worth it. The service was on point, from the restaurant to the reception, and they helped us with anything we asked. At one point, we were waiting for a ride and someone brought us fresh lemonade unprompted. It was a nice touch. It is a bit far from town (which we liked) but the restaurant is delicious so no need to leave if you don't want to. I highly recommend this hotel, it was absolutely incredible.
A little far from town, but that did not bother us

The views are absolutely breathtaking and the location perched on a hilltop is stunning. The physical features of the property are wonderful, every aspect from the infinity pool to the furnishing and decor of the rooms is excellent. The Marshall speakers in the rooms are great, allowing you to hook up your device to play music. The USB ports by the bed are convenient for charging without an adaptor. The outside private terraces with the rooms are very lovely too
Unfortunately it is the softer things that lets this hotel down. For a property which is pitching itself at the highest level of luxury and service (at least for the island) it sadly misses on going to that extra mile which usually makes these places stand out. For example, two other comparable hotels we have stayed at on the island either provided free bottled water in rooms or gives you a round of free mini bar - Verina Astra does neither of these things. There are no slippers or robes in the rooms, the toiletries are ok but not the best in my opinion. There seems to be a management ethos which is that this place is a thing that exists in and of itself and it is almost impervious to its guests, without too much concern about the people who it is ultimately designed to welcome - this is not so great and more needs to be done to create a management style which is more about the guest experience and making the guests feel like they are the primary focus. The staff while very professional, friendly and courteous seemed to always be very busy attending to matters so could not give anyone very much attention or time (not a specific issue with any one person we dealt with, individually they were all lovely but just all seemed to be stretched time wise). For a hotel which is fairly remote - the restaurant frequently seemed to run out of dishes on its (limited) menu at lunch and dinner. Not only this, but when it ran out of the dakos salad - the kitchen refused to give us another simple salad with whatever of the ingredients they had (they definitely had tomatoes!). Unlike other hotels at its level - it does not offer any complimentary transfer services to or from the port.

This is a spectacular hotel, amazing setting high on the side of the hillside. The rooms are perfect, spacious with balconies to sit and hang out. Pool is amazing
The only drawback is that it is remote and not easily walkable into towns.

The hotel is stylish & beautiful with incredible views. The staff were friendly, professional and helpful. Breakfast is huge with a good selection of freshly cooked dishes. The pool area is stunning. Worth every penny.

I don’t know where to start. We loved our stay in Verina Astra and our immediate conclusion is that we will come back! So please don’t doubt on coming, you won’t regret it. From the moment we arrived we were warmly welcomed by the amazing and friendly staff with their fresh home made ice tea. While enjoying our drink, we were cuddled by the view from Verina of the Aegean Sea in its max expression, which is absolutely breathtaking. Our room, as well as the whole structure, is thoughtfully designed, well decorated, comfortable and practical. The devil is on the detail and certainly they take it to the next level. Every part of the structure is just so scenic that you feel instantly immerse in peace and nature of the island. The pool amenities are so well thought that there is nothing that can be missed. The infinity pool is just gorgeous, giving you a feel of full connection with the sea and the surroundings. But one of the great and special highlights for us was the restaurant: every dish is a sophisticated combination of local ingredients and products (best shrimp carpaccio ever!) with an update eccentric touch of a great internationally exposed high class restaurant. The cherry on the top was Sandro, the chef. His experience and passion for food made our culinary experience in Verina even more unique.
Thanks again for everything and see you soon!

We loved our stay there. It was so calming and the view from the hotel is just breathtaking. Breakfast was very tasty, with fresh orange juice and amazing coffee. The rooms are beautiful and the mattress was very comfortable. We loved it so much that we extended our stay one more day.
It was almost perfect, but the girl at the breakfast, (I guess she was still a bit sleepy) forgot many things to bring or we had to ask twice. It was a bit annoying to ask for everything extra.

The view was incredible. You feel like you’re meeting directly with the ocean. I’ve seen it in the pictures but experiencing it in real life is totally different and much better. Rooms are perfectly decorated and clean with the same wonderful view everywhere. Staff was so kind and always helping for anything. We also met the chef Sandro: you need to book once for a dinner there, it’s a fine greek cuisine and you will not regret it. Overall food was great. If you come to Sifnos, this is the place to be. Even if the island is beautiful you will probably want to stay every minute at the hotel. Thanks to the Verina Team for the unforgettable days. It’s not just an hotel, it’s a nature and cultural experience. Go and see by yourself.

The breakfasts and the view are fabulous
The hotel filters questions through reservations, which was not helpful (once I had booked). The hotel could have provided better information and been more keen to be helpful.
