Lakeside Retreat truly is a treat! This home is brand new to the rental market with so many extras to make your vacation everything you dreamed of! Situated in quiet Northwest Bradenton, Lakeside Retreat not only has a beautiful view of the lake, but it has grand outdoor living areas including a screened in lanai, seperate grilling area, and a brand new pool!
The interior of the home has been decorated in a nautical chic way to make your vacation feel that much more authentic! Enjoy large TV's in every bedroom, not to mention the living room where you can come together as a family and wind the day down with popcorn and a movie. We (my 90 yr old Dad & husband) came here while our home (also in Bradenton) was tented for termites.
It is a great location & our host was always quick to respond to any issues we had, which were insignificant.

What a blast!! The pool kept us busy, the pond kept us looking, the block patio around the pool keep us tanning, and screened in porch outside kept us all TOGETHER! For a family that has a little that wanted to swim all week long, a teenager that wanted to fish but it’s not allowed the pond is a Beaty to just sit and watch, a wife that wanted a fantastic tan and a husband who wanted to watch college basketball, THIS PLACE WAS PERFECT!

All good. Great use of space. Clean.
Only issue: the master bedroom bed was terribly uncomfortable. Supposed to be sleep number air mattress, but it would deflate during night. Ended up with backside practically on floor. I’m not a heavy person, I weigh 107. Ended up sleeping on couch!

Property is located in nice neighborhood, down the street from million dollar, waterfront homes. The house is fine, but we encountered some less than a pleasant issues. The owner showed up everyday to work on the sprinkler system, self performing - very strange. Never had this happen before and while nice enough, he kept approaching us during family time, asking if him being there was bothering us. He was harmless, but we did not get full enjoyment of the property as we had paid for. There really needs to be a rule against this, and I am shocked we never received a partial refund. I would stay away from this property for that sole reason. Also the management company had to be called to reset the pool heater, which is unacceptable in my view. Service fees were paid, but no service was rendered. Book elsewhere

Perfect home base for our vacation
Communication with Island Dreams Realty, who manages the listing, was easy and they were very responsive and helpful. Place was exactly as listed and VERY clean. Beds were fantastic. Pool was refreshing and overlooked the lake. Kitchen had all the supplies needed and plenty of plates, utensils, etc. Only small comment for improvement was some of the beach chairs and cooler were broken and need to be replaced. However I would rent this property again and would suggest it to anyone.

Perfect for Our Family of 6!
Our family of 6 (4 kids, ages 7-17) loved staying here with the highlight definitely being the pool! The kids loved being able to go right out the back door and cool off or relax anytime they wanted to. (As others may have mentioned, the salt water pool isn't salty like ocean water or chlorine-y like other pools. Perfect water!)
Overlooking the lake from the pool and covered lanai, gave us great views and interactions with some wildlife like frogs, turtles, osprey, herons, ducks, etc.
This house was located in a quiet neighborhood away from the hustle and bustle but was just a few minutes from the grocery store and restaurants and 10-15 minutes from the beaches on Anna Maria Island. We also did a few hikes in the local nature preserves.
We really liked having the kitchen and laundry in-house to save money from eating out all the time and being able to have fresh clean clothes on our trip.
The photos of this listing seemed accurate, and we were very pleased upon arrival. There seem to be lots of pool and beach toys left in the house that weren't mentioned in the listing. There are lots of other baby accessories in the house, but we didn't need those for our family.
The homeowner and realty company were very responsive and handled anything that came up right away. Great communication!
10/10 - would recommend! We would definitely stay here again or wouldn't hesitate to rent from this host in the future.

Cute beach themed pool home
Overall the place is great... no complaints... pool was amazing... nice decor, all new flooring, fresh paint and clean... plan to try and stay here again... probably one of our favorites we have rented
but always room for improvement, if i owned the home, there is a few minor things i would update... like bathroom and kitchen light fixtures... the screened in porch ceiling and door

Great home with private swimming pool
The home is very well maintain with 3 spacious bedrooms & 2 bathrooms. We all loved the private swimming pool and the quite neighborhood. Home is close to grocery stores & the like. Also, close to the beach.

Tidy and Welcoming!
The home was very well kept and made us feel right at home. The pool sits in the backyard overlooking the lake which was a beautiful place to sit and relax as my children swam in the pool. Property management was quick to respond with any questions. Quiet neighborhood. Would love to rent again!

Just beautiful
We had such an amazing time at this fantastic Rental. I can’t say enough nice things about this place. The house was super comfortable clean and inviting and tastefully decorated. The outdoor screened in sunroom was perfect. The inground pool was great. We really had a fantastic week! We will definitely come back to this same home next year! There’s no reason to look for another place.

Short drive to Anna Maria, gorgeous view, with our own pool!
We decided on this property because there wasn’t anything available on Anna Maria that wasn’t either too small or too expensive. It took only 15 min or so to get to Anna Maria, where we could park on most side streets near either beaches, pier, or shops and restaurants. But it was sometimes hard to leave this beautiful VRBO! The house is spacious, clean and comfortable. And the back yard with its’s palm trees, privacy, seating and heated pool was amazing! Loved that the pool area was not covered so we could be truly outside in the sun enjoying the view! We even saw an otter one day! The use of the garage was a plus and they also had beach chairs, and beach toys and towels for us as well! This house is in a nice quieter neighborhood and has comfortable beds as well ( I’m pretty picky on beds being too hard and these were not). Besides being close to beautiful Anna Maria Island, this house is close to other inland restaurants, shops, and grocery stores. I want to move here! 😀🌴🏖❤️

A Great Stay
This home is clean and comfortable. It’s located in a nice neighborhood and us close to grocery and restaurants. The view and the pool are spectacular! We will stay here again if we come to Bradenton again.

It was “OK”
Cushion chairs on porch are dirty, chipped cup in cabinet, toilet handle broken, and several electrical outlets don’t work. Overall is was ok but all of these are easy fixes with a little more attention to detail and care.

Amazing place and amazing staff
This place was amazing. The house was perfect very well laid out and had good quality products for cooking. When we needed some help with some kitchen equipment in the rental place the rental owner was very understanding and sent help out to fix the issue.
The neighborhood was amazing and the backyard was great to chill in and we saw a ton of wildlife (Ospreys, Egrets, Herons, River Otters and more).
The Rental was also understanding and helpful when I got our last date wrong and were able to help me add an additional day down.
Me and my friends highly recommend this place you can't go wrong staying here.

Awesome vacation
This place was exactly as described, had a wonderful stay! Very clean and loved the little starter bag that was left for us. The pool was awesome! Beds were comfortable. It was close to everything and quiet neighborhood.. Having the garage was nice. I would definitely come back to this house.

Lakeside retreat
Everything was good love the Lake “pond”. Lots of animals and great pool! Love back screened patio! Outlets did not work in either bathrooms made it hard to get ready! Spatulas are in need of replacing they have been melted by other people and hard to get clean suggest getting stainless they will last forever! Also would be a good idea to run toothbrush holders through the did washer ours had old tooth paste in them and were not clean! Dishes were also put away dirty should check them after each group checks out ! One of the bed skirts in on the twin bed was stained and dirty from some spilling something on it!

Beautiful house with awesome salt water pool
Lovely house with almost all amenities you could need. The pool and pond with wildlife in the backyard were the highlights of this rental. Plenty of beach towels, but would have loved a beach umbrella and insulated cooler for beach visits. Loved our stay and would definitely rent here again!

Issues
The garbage had not been taken out in awhile and there were maggots crawling all over. The recycle was full of garbage that was not recyclable. The air conditioning filter was filthy and the floors not very covid clean

Wish all rentals could be like this!!
My family and I just left today but no one was ready too. We enjoyed every piece of the property and of course the pool was the highlight of our stay. I really loved the attention to detail and how fully stocked the kitchen with dishes, small appliances and bakeware. Washer and dryer were such a convenience to have and we even enjoyed the beach chairs/ stuff they have for all to enjoy. Thank you Island realty for such a pleasant stay😊🏖

Best Vacation Ever!
We loved the house. It was very clean, nicely decorated, well equipped, located in a quiet and nice neighborhood. Beautiful view on the lake, quiet and very relaxing. The pool was amazing. Kids had a ton of fun. The house is located close to church, stores, and of course the beach. Could not ask for more. Loved it! We will be back, for sure :)

Great location for our family gathering.
Overall the home was comfortable with a nice touch of "extras" left for us (such as sunglasses that came in handy). The view from the back yard (with natural wildlife, including an otter) was great! The pool was clean and the view was lovely day and night. The area served us well for bike rides, beach and kayaking. The bedding (including the mattress covers) and linens need to be updated to clean white sheets & towels. (or bring your own).

Nice place.
It was very clean and well decorated. Not far from the beaches. Really enjoyed the home and the pool was nice. Wish the landscaping crew cared about there work, they blew grass clippings into the pool.

Better than expected !!
If your debating choosing this place I would say you will not be disappointed, it’s a hidden gem. Close to everything !!! Quite safe neighbourhood and the back yard is a vacation on its own. Home owners thought of everything !! Felt like home from the moment we walked through the front door!!! We will be return visitors only thing different is we will stay LONGER !!!

This is the first time I've ever booked a vrbo and this one did NOT disappoint!! The place was beautiful and I loved the decor!! So peaceful outback to sit and enjoy each morning and night after doing activities during the day! The welcome package they leave for you was great too!

This property provided what we needed for our family of five...kids 14-20!!!! Pool was wonderful! loved the extras prvded for the beach like chairs floats noodles, etc. Kitchen has literally all we needed. Bedrooms and bathrooms were very nice and so was the living space and linai..Short drive to everything we needed!!!..Highly recommend!!!!

Dream house
We have spent 3 weeks in this beautifull house, which looks in real exactly like on the pictures, maybe even nicer:). Everything was clean, new, tastefully furnished, very comfortable beds, heated pool, but what is the best is the lake view. There is all equipment you need during your stay. The location is great too, especialy if you plan to discover it by walking, running or on bike. It is not crowded, there are two nature parks close to it and the street (River view Blvd.) itself is very nice to run/bike along. Shopings, beaches and all you need is not far neither. For us it was the best choise!

An excellent home to stay whether short or longer
My wife and I are regular travellers and renters and we also know this area quite well. When renting 'blind' and only having photos to sway your decision sometimes means that teh reality does not live up to images suggested.
This home has everything needed to make a comfortable and relaxed stay with no worries or concerns. we are happy to say that this home matches and exceeds expectation and was a joy to stay in. The furniture and fittings are not unitarian but are not too disimilar to what you may have at home not as is sometimes the case with rental homes when cheap and uncomfortable fixtures and fittings are used.
Every thing works as it should and Alex is always available to help if needed.
Judge a rental on how it compares to home bearing in mind it is a rental and more importantly, would you rent this home again.

Super cool pool home
This home truly is a lakeside retreat for any family and was just perfect for us. We've never stayed at a home with a salt water pool and moving forward we will try to book a home with a salt water pool, if possible. The water is so much softer, barely tastes anything like salt and our 2 kids never wanted to get out unless they were hungry or ready to go to Disneyworld. Management was super helpful and very nice.

Phenomenal vacation
We ended up visiting the beach and restaurant much less than we anticipated, as nobody really wanted to leave the house. Using the pool for endless hours and barbecuing almost every night was just perfect! Beds are all very comfortable, I think I fell in love with my sleep number bed and coming from the city, the view out back is worth a million dollars!

A hidden gem in Palma Sola
Lakeside Retreat is a very clean and nicely maintained property in a good residential area. We were pleasantly surprised at the welcome package of essentials such as kitchen towels, dish soap etc, all of which we usually have to immediately buy; even included was after-sun and a small first aid kit. The house is attractively decorated. WiFi and TV very good. The kitchen is small but perfectly functional, and equipped with all the necessities. The bedrooms are all of a good size and the beds very comfortable. There is parking for two cars on the driveway plus a garage. The pool is not too deep for children, and kept very clean by the regular pool service. We spent time in the pool area, and also in the enclosed lanai, just watching the wildlife on the lake - lots of turtles, different birds, and even on a couple of occasions, an otter! There were a few random maintenance issues, but all dealt with promptly and efficiently. Publix supermarket is literally at the end of the road on SR64, where there are also plenty of places to eat. To the north is I75 for trips further afield, and a few minutes to the south is Anna Maria Island with beautiful beaches and stunning sunsets. We would return to this vacation home, and recommend it to others. One thing which surprised us though - after torrential rain, the frogs sing a chorus at night, quite an eerie sound until you realise what you are hearing!

Best vacation rental we have ever stayed in. Had lots of beach and bath towels. Very clean. They even supplied all of the household items such as dish soap, paper towels, toilet paper, laundry detergent, etc.
