Nestled on a hill, and located in a remarkable part of Australia, "No.9" enjoys breath-taking views of The Bay of Fires. This is a relatively undiscovered destination, making it the perfect getaway retreat.
No 9 Bay of Fires is a new home. We've taken our time and paid attention to detail to ensure your comfort. This is our home away from home. After you've stayed here we think you'll feel the same way too.
As soon as you step inside you'll feel its beach side ambience. It's casual yet with modern day luxuries for your comfort. Everything is ready so you can enjoy your break.
Beds are made up with fresh linen. There's a luxurious King-size bed in the master bedroom, a comfy Queen size bed in the second bedroom, while the third bedroom has two snug single beds. Eco-friendly quality shampoo and conditioner is available. Like most of the area, rainwater is collected in a tank and re-used on the garden.
This holiday home is well positioned and maximises sunlight. Built over two levels, it has plenty of living and dining space to spread out. Enjoy private solitude to read a book or stay connected via the free wireless network. There are cosy living spaces that are perfect for dining and relaxing, including a large jetmaster fireplace.
The kitchen is built a little like a ship's deck, overlooking the ocean and split-level dining/entertaining area. It's beautifully equipped with modern appliances including a Miele dishwasher and Smeg kettle and blender.
A Weber BBQ is ready to go on the upstairs deck. Downstairs has a brand new landscaped area for greater privacy and change of scenery. Each bedroom has its own mini TV/DVD and in-house movies are available.
Tasmania has abundant and beautiful nature and wildlife. Wake up to Kookaburras' laughter or watch the sea eagles catch the afternoon thermals over the ocean below. There are plenty of nature walks. Marvel at the clear turquoise water that contrasts the orange lichen covered rocks. Stroll to the beach, local cafe or swim in the nearby rock pools. At night, discover a bright starlit sky away from the city lights or huddle around the large open fire.
Tasmanians call their holiday homes a "shack". While set up for holidays, this is not your average "shack". It's geared to soothe your senses in a wonderfully natural environment that will restore your mind, body and soul.

Luxurious holiday house/home
#9 was by far the stand out accommodation on our Tasmanian holiday. Kay and Chris have put so much effort into creating a holiday house (home, as that is what it feels like) that has absolutely everything you could want/need. Everything was of a high spec and excellent quality - from the kitchen/bathroom fitting to the beds, linen, furnishings and the crockery and cutlery. We highly recommend a stay at #9 - we wish we had been able to stay longer as the area is amazingly beautiful and well worth putting on your itinery. Thank you for the lovely touches, especially the the bottle of Jansz and choccies!!! Jeff, Linda and Molly.

Lovely house with amazing view
This house ist very new with a beautiful and elegant interior. You feel, that the owners spent al lot of time and love to make a very special guesthouse. We have never found such a well prepared house in Europe or Australia as #9. For example the chimney was ready to use, champagne and organic soaps were provided.
The setting of the house is lovely with a terrific view. Only few minutes far from the beach and a good restaurant. The owners are very friendly and very helpful in case of any question. We would recommend #9 our best friends!
