The perfect way to start our trip. Gorgeous views. Sauna and sea bath were delightful. The reception staff was lovely and had our room ready early which was great after a long day of travel. Very accommodating for our small baby. Breakfast and dinner were both delicious. We can’t wait to return!

Traumhafte Lage, genialer Blick .

Otrevlig lukt i badrummet. Mycket spartansk frukost.

This is a beautiful old hotel on the north coast of Zealand. The sauna is quite special overlooking the sea. The meals are quite fine dining, some of our best in Denmark. Great biking from the hotel.
The hotel beach is not great, but you can bike or walk to a fine beach nearby.

It was perfect.

Everything was beautiful, clean and cozy. There were several rooms inside to chill out, in large sofas and cozy chairs and you could see the sea. Outside there were several places to be, area where you can sit in shadow of the trees if this is needed and areas where you can sit on sunchairs and enjoy the sun and the seaview and there is also a terasse where you can order hot and cold drinks and get served meals. The staff is smiling and friendly and ready to help.
There is an air of "casual luxury" over the place, something between the Danish TV-serie "Badehotellet" and the English serie "Hotel Portofino" :-). And no TV's anywhere, so one can really relax.

the location and the design of the hotel ( a beautifully modernised older property ) combine to make this a really special place to stay . When you add in the attentive staff …… you get the picture !
Because of the layout of the main house the rooms may be a little on the small side .. but if you face the sea …. the view !

the setup with the rooms and the living arrears where you could stay.
need to fix it up a bit. the rooms looked a little dirty and the balcony needed a new set of paint as there were rust multiple places

it’s a super nice location, with a cozy lobby.
the room was very small, bathroom was freezing and spider webs in the corners. I understand it’s not a spa hotel, but it’s as expensive as a spa hotel.

breakfast perfect and location amazing
if you look at the price for Euro 430 per room it is very expensive ! I travel all around the world and the location is top but there is no gym and the room I had ( junior suite with sea view ) is small and nothing special . You pay for the view and the food , super friendly staff but price not corresponding the quality of the room .

The hotel is in a stunning setting right on the cliff edge, with a lovely garden and steps down to the beach. The communal areas are beautifully decorated and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our stay (even donating us an umbrella when we checked out for the rainy walk to the station with our bags!). Dinner in the restaurant was delicious and we also loved the bar area - we could not recommend a stay at Helenekilde Badehotel more highly!
The rooms are lovely and clean but are quite basic - they could do with a slight update/a few more homely touches (as in the communal areas)

This is a beautiful hotel in a fabulous location right by the seaside. If "hygge" were a place, this could be it.
The more senior staff is not exactly very welcoming. At times we felt like intruders ...not so sure how much they value foreign guests. Given the prices they charge even off season this felt like a real fly in the ointment. Thankfully the younger staff at the bar and in the dining room made up for it. Also, if you are vegan or vegetarian...call in advance and make sure they put something on the menu for you.
