About this house rental

This is our family home so the house is only available during the Xmas school holidays . Situated in a quiet cul de sac which backs onto a small rainforest , only minutes from the beach and positioned between the shopping and dining centres of Terrigal and Avoca beach. This family home is spread over 3 levels

level 1 - 10 metre saltwater pool with deck and cabana
level 2 - Kitchen/Diner, lounge room, rumpus, laundry, bathroom,2 toilets,3 bedrooms and outside dining BBQ deck

level 3 . Parents retreat lounge room with adjoining deck with daybed, master bedroom with walk through robe and luxury ensuite.

The house has free wifi, telstra tv, ceiling fans and air conditioning, 4 flat screen tv's, dishwasher, microwave, washer, dryer, bed linen and towels provided.

We'd like to thank Simon and his family for allowing us to stay at their stunning home. It is a perfect place to get away and unwind with family or friends. The privacy and tranquility provided by the surrounding 'forrest' made us feel like we had North Avoca to ourselves! This truly is an impeccable home that's impossible to fault, you will love it.

Amazing pool with beautiful scenery

We stayed at this house for 5 nights with 2 families (both with young children). The highlight was the pool and outdoor area. It was a perfect stay with kids jumping in and out of the pool, an amazing bbq area and a beautiful outlook. We will definitely stay here again. Simon was a fantastic host and went above and beyond with a stocked kitchen, ice-creams for the kids, bread, milk and beers were an excellent touch. Highly recommend!

We absolutely loved our stay here. Simon & Michelle were great to deal with and the house is amazing. The kids absolutely loved the pool and the house is beautiful the Bali theme throughout the whole house and the bush land behind made you feel like you were overseas away from society. We also appreciated the food and other items Simon and Michelle left for us, made it so much easier upon arrival. We will definately come back. Thank you Simon & Michelle

A beautiful well kept home, that's easily made to feel like a holiday destination. Fabulous outdoor eating and entertainment area. Beautiful bush outlook. Even though a drive to the beach.

Beautiful home and wonderful bush outlook

We stayed six nights in this lovely well maintained home. The pool, deck and surrounding bush feel like being at your own private resort. The whole house is beautifully designed with and the upper level bathroom, living area and deck are quite luxurious. It was also a treat to arrive to a fridge with essentials like milk and eggs as well some yummy non-essentials. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Seven days of peace and quiet, beautiful views, very relaxing and comfortable. The kids made the most of it, enjoying the pool and the bushwalking. We had a jovial of a time. It was definitely a Home away from Home. Cheers Simon

It was so kind of you to provide the things in your fridge and pantry for us. You truly have a wonderful home and an amazing 'rainforest retreat' backyard, we feel lucky to have experienced it for a whole week!

Beautiful home , relaxing and very comfortable. Peaceful setting . Close to beaches . Avoca lagoon great for kids . Great hosts , going out of their way to supply some basic groceries on arrival in the fridge was really helpful. Would definitely recommend this property, very relaxing and beautiful

Beautiful house with amazing scenery

We stayed in this home for 2 days and 3nights and to say it lived up to our expectations is an understatement. The house has a wow factory as you first enter and make your way out the back to the pool with the amazing backdrop of the rain forest. Upstairs has the perfect area to chilnout and at times we were unsure if we were in Australia or Bali. We would recommend this place to anyone and we would definitely stay again.

Home away from home

Spacious, very clean and comfortable bedrooms with the upper level parent's retreat a highlight. The saltwater pool was fantastic! The backyard vista felt like Ubud or S/E Asia. Although this is someone else's family home, we felt at ease, as if it were our home. A few minutes drive away is Nth Avoca beach, Erina Fair, and Terrigal. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Thank you Simon and Michelle.

A beautiful and relaxing property.

An amazing property. Beautiful and very relaxing. We stayed at the Rainforest Retreat with another family of 3, in total 7 people. Our Hosts- Simon and Michelle were terrific. A well stocked kitchen. A fridge with Peroni and wine, along with bread , milk and coffee, very much appreciated. The pool was a treat for our Boys and we all enjoyed the outdoor ambience of the deck and bbq. Thank You Simon and Michelle, we are still raving about your gorgeous house and 5 star hospitality.

Beautiful house - truly a home away from home

A beautiful, light, clean, airy and well appointed property with everything that you could possibly need for a short or long stay. We stayed for a week in January with a toddler. The beach is a short drive away and the pool has a deck to chill out on. There is also a balcony with a bbq which is great for entertaining or having a relaxing meal. The parents retreat upstairs is very peaceful and private and the bathroom has a wonderful bath to relax in. There is a green grocer a short drive away or the nearest shopping centre (about 15 mins away) to stock up. Our hosts generously stocked up the fridge with items other hosts would not think to include for example milk, bread, eggs, butter, garlic, OJ, beer and wine and generously made available in the pantry spices, olive oil and other items which save guests from having to endure the tiresome task of trying to recreate their kitchens and instead allows them to get busy with the task of hitting the beach and starting their holiday! Fabulous and luxurious summer hideaway!

We had a wonderful, very warm week at this property with two parents, two teenagers and elderly mother-in-law. The house is very clean, comfortably furnished and has a very zen vibe. Aircon and pool made the hot weather easy to handle. Lots of handy supplies in the fridge and pantry. We all loved finding different comfortable spots to relax in - lounge or hammock by the pool, in the egg chair in the front garden or upstairs on the day bed. Amazing parents retreat upstairs (the whole floor) with a spacious modern lounge, luxurious bathroom and comfy king size bed. Beach not easily walkable but a very quick drive away. Massage or other pampering is easy to find in North Avoca, and a great cafe too. My mother-in-law accidentally left a scarf at the property and Simon very graciously put it in the mail back to us. A great property and highly recommended.

Fantastic House

We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday and stay at Rainforest Retreat. The kids loved the pool and the free wifi was definitely a hit. Would definitely recommend this property for a relaxing holiday.

We really enjoyed our stay and the house is fantastic and we all enjoyed the pool. Local shops, cafes and beaches are all close to hand. The owners were friendly and helpful so highly recommend this property.

Tranquillity at its best!

Tranquillity at its best!

We had a wonderful time, the house had everything we needed (and more...) and the pool was great! Having meals on the balcony was peaceful, listening to the birds and just simply chilling out. Our teenagers appreciated the free wifi and we were close to everywhere we wanted to be. Thanks again Simon and Michelle!!!
