Staf is friendly and localization couldn’t be better.
2.5 / 5.0
The location.
The room was damp, there was no hot water. The facilities were very limited. For breakfast you had to walk around to a local cafe, were you paid extra for fruit juice! It's advertised as a high class of establishment with the price tag to match and I can say it was the worst hotel we stayed at.

lovely ambiance, quiet and serene in the heart of bustling Thamel! lovely greenery and flowers make you feel in nature and calm despite being moments away from the centre of Thamel.
- shower water does not get hot - Luke warm at best
- breakfast is in a completely separate location to the hotel about 5’mins walk away
- Wi-Fi did not always work in my bedroom but staff were immediately accommodating and provided an alternative network that worked perfectly

The location was central but off the main road, so it's quiet. The building looks nice
There was no hot water in the shower, even cold water pressure was too low. AC didn't cool down the room properly, no complimentary tea in the room, TV didn't work, very unhealthy local breakfast included in the booking price (without coffee). I had a problem with having no electricity in the sockets (the overhead lamps were working) and the receptionist didn't know what to do about it. Pillows were too soft and uncomfortable.

Thamel Villa is excellently located just off the busy road in Thamel. Very close to all the key shopping areas and it was super easy to walk around and find places to eat and drink. Great night life around too if you like it.
While the hotel itself is good, it doesn't have any major facilities (spa, pool, etc). Also, the breakfast spread that was offered was rather disappointing. We ended up going for breakfast outside after the first day.

I have stayed in many hotels in Kathmandu, but this one is by far my favorite! A very safe secure hotel for a solo female traveler and it is the cleanest hotel ever!! The location is perfect for walking to all main attractions and the staff were very helpful and understanding! Will defiantly be back! Perfect location for a travel photographer/blogger.
