At the reception, spa and restaurant they were all really prompt and helpful. Very friendly atmosphere!

Staff are very nice and super accommodating. Pool was a great temp and clean and large enough to do some laps in. View over the lake and through the valley is unmatched.
Could be cleaner a little cleaner (not bad though): toilet was a but dingy, marks on the walls. Main thing is the place is really in need of some upgrades. No outlets to charge phones, etc. next to the bed. Only one was hidden by bed and we had to pull the bed out to get to it. Maybe invest in bedside tables with built-in charging ports? In general, place appears to have been built in the 70s, not been updated, and looks and feels like it.

It’s the second time we visit this hotel. We like the facilities and the staff is usually nice.
At the end one employee wasn’t nice when we wanted to double check our reservation, due to an additional cost because it seems that at the time of the reservation we forgot to put our daughter’s age. We totally understand but we wanted to check before paying and she was speaking at a high volume, very unprofessional and unpleasant. And the end we paid and wished her a nice day, to which she replied have a nice day if you can. This is completely unacceptable for a person that works in customer service.

SPA area: sauna, steam bath, relaxation room, massage room, indoor swimming pool and jacuzzi
Restaurant (dinner): very very impressed. Bread basket with olive bread was fantastic to tamper our hunger initially. For mains we got Ossobucco and Steak and both dishes were very well executed. The cheese board (Menu Ticino) was bigger than expected and we ended up sharing (it was a very large 1-person portion). The dessert that came in Menu Ticino was mistaken, but quickly corrected when we brought it to the attention of the waiter. Service a little slow.
Plenty of parking spaces.
Complimentary water in room at arrival.
Fridge available in room. Hairdryer in the bathroom.
Hotel: in need of TLC. The rooms are outdated, but functional. We got a little room on the side wing, but still had the view of the mountains and even some lake. The beds were ok. The bathroom also outdated, but satisfactory.
SPA Robes are extra and cost 10CHF. Towels for SPA are available in rooms only.
Restaurant (breakfast): very disappointed. The coffee is not great. Porridge is cold and has a ton of sugar in it. Cereal selection not bad. The meats were ok. Cheeses not great. Bread selection good. Loads of fruit, for those who eat it. Scrambled eggs not available at the buffet.
The hotel was not full and a room upgrade would have been nice.
Location is quite remote and might be a stressful drive to unsure drivers.
No kettle in room available.

The hotel facilities were great - the indoor pool, sauna, steam room and spa were lovely but also the bar with stunning views over Lake Lugano was breathtaking. The staff were all really friendly. Although the hotel looks a bit dated from the outside, they've done a lovely refurbishment inside
The food and drinks at the hotel were expensive which is expected of Switzerland but I found them to be more than other restaurants we went to nearby (but had to drive to) so we tended not to have dinner at the hotel. The hotel is very remote so we luckily had a car and I would definitely recommend having one

Very friendly and helpful staff. We traveled with a baby. They helped us to find a local babysitter, gave us a travel bed and generally were very understanding and kind. The food at the restaurant was delicious (especially the local recipes). On top of that the view was amazing.

the place is located in the middle of the bushes, and offers a stunning restaurant with view on the lake ... at breakfast they serve spring water purified with stones
breakfast was ok but could have been better, i would have loved if there was more vairety of choice with some more healthy food. restaurant offer for lunch could be a bit more various

Food was not as expected. I would have hoped a better quality. It’s seems to me that my Lasagna was coming straight from the Microwave!!!

It is really in the middle of nowhere
Great place if you want to disconnect completely
I found the room lacking stuff like coffee/tea kettle, small bed, TV only with few channels
Restaurant food is quite expensive for what it is
It has tons of waiters running around but when you ask for the bill, you have to go to cashier. Crazy. For a menu at 45 CHF I found it not great service
Breakfast buffet is ok but not justifying the price. Queue at the coffee machine
Only 2 bus per day to go to Mendrisio

Good location and a beautiful view.
The room was simple but ok, cleaning could have been improved. The towels were old and frayed.
Seeing the pictures we expected the restaurant to be very gourmet, but it wasn't the case. The service was very poor and slow. On the first day, they took more than one hour to bring our starters and tried to serve me dessert before the main dish, a total disaster. After we complained they improved timing on the second day.
Breakfast was chaos, they took a long time to reset the tables and many guests went to fetch their own napkins and placemats. They also took too long to replace the food and there was a lack of glasses, cups, and cutlery. One day the coffee machine was out of order. It seemed to me that they were not prepared for the number of guests they had. A pity...

Ms. Pascale, Front Desk Mgr, went beyond her call of duty to straighten out some issues and this made our stay “one to remember”. Thank you Pascale 🙏👍🙏
Hotel guests having eaten at the restaurant were told that charging consumption at the restaurant were not permitted...... guest were not advised of this.

The showerhead of our room could not offer water with constant temperature. The bed was also a big harder than normal. My husband could not sleep well whole night.
