Perfekt für eine Nacht. Einfach gehalten aber sauber.

Einfache Unterkunft. Alles sauber und Betten sehr bequem. Preis Leistung stimmt

Sehr hellhörig. Wände sind wohl aus pappe. Nachtruhe ab 22 Uhr wurde aber eingehalten.

La ubicación, muy cerca de la estación si estás haciendo el camino es perfecto.

El frío de la habitación, estaba a 19 grados y aunque nos dijeron que era la temperatura que habia que tener, allí hacia mucho frío y más después del chaparrón que había caído, estaba poco agradable.

Nothing - I could not access the auto access reception machine. Tried and got other person to try . Called and they said to get the bar next door to help me. Had to stay with them

Auto reception machine access . High risk scanning of my passport. No help when we could not get access. They took my money but I could not get into my room.

Avoid if possible

Nothing - the poorest accommodation I have experienced on my Camino

I don’t think I’ve ever left a bad review on Booking and I do this with future travellers in mind. My experience was poor but might relate to the room in particular - room 41. We booked a double room with a private bathroom, and received a double room with a toilet, sink and shower in the room. I consider that the room was not as advertised and unsanitary - the advertised photos on Booking show an ensuite in a separate room with a door between the bathroom and bedroom. In addition, the room smelled strongly of sewage and the smell woke me up during the night. I emailed the host via Booking at 21:30 requesting to be moved to another room and 24 hours later have not received a reply. I am a pilgrim walking the Camino, and embrace modest accommodation, but this accommodation was sub-standard. The room was superficially clean - the shower was actually quite dirty, and the bathroom smelled of sewage throughout. The vending machine on the 5th floor seemed convenient for a coffee capsule for breakfast but swallowed my cash and did not provide any much needed caffeine. If you can find alternative accommodation in Guernica, avoid Akelarre Ostatua. Have requested a refund from Booking.

Where is the code for the door?

There was an outdoor machine for check-in. And you got a key. Then you had to enter a code to unlock the door. I looked for the code on Booking, in my email. Tried calling the hotel, ringing the doorbell, no one answered. After a while, a guest came out and said that the code was on the key. So now you know!

Very good

Easy to find. It's easy to check in automatically with your passport. It's opposite a laundromat. It has a wonderful terrace onm the top floor with wonderful views.

It's a little noisy on the street below as the property is on the same street as all the bars.

Very disappointing. Why does this hotel have any 2 stars??

In room 41 the toilet and shower were actually in the bedroom. There was only a small screen to separate the toilet from the bed which was about 1m away.

Price of €65 for a solo Camino pilgrim and no staff ( automatically checked in ) dark and soulless inside .

Cosy, quirky room in the heart of Gernika . Good value , close to the camino - I was initially intimidated by the notification about the automatic self- check in - but it is very easy and straightforward to use. I didn’t need to speak with any staff - nobody was around - there is a number to phone if you are in need of assistance

Location was good but it is located over bars. Incredibly noisy until 2 am.

This is not a room with a bathroom. It is a bathroom with a bed. Literally. You have the wc next to the bed.

Room is comfortable and the terrace is beautiful. The communal space is nice

Would be nice to have some customer service despite effective self service login. Therefore didn’t have a very nice atmosphere and you don’t feel ‘welcomed’
