Lokalita úžasná, bazén a snídaně ok.

Bazén u hotelu, ikdyž by potřeboval rekonstrukci.
Servírka v restauraci, kterou jsme hned první den potkali. Arogantní. A také nabídka jídel za ceny odpovídající centrům měst.
Postele velmi špatné, nepohodlné, vrzající.

Nice location
Good breakfast
Self-service bar
Pool
Cottages are too small - just a room for sleeping and somewhat split with tiny wall so you can easily hear someone else on the other side.
Cottages are not far from hotel, yet not directly connected to hotel where you need to go for breakfast
I'll prefer hotel room next time.

I stayed in a wooden bungalow. Plenty of space, electric room heater, good breakfast. Pleasant staff.
No wifi in bungalow. Had to wait 90min for hot water to heat up as the fuse for the storage heater was switched off. Hard thin mattress.

Very pleasant receptionist

Staff very friendly and helpful. Lots of stuff for kids (toys, garden, pool,...). Fairly close to the castle, spacious although a bit dated rooms
Got twin room instead of double room. Matrass so old and uncomfortable to sleep on. Breakfast very basic to poor. Food at restaurant ok but nothing more.

in the vicinity of the hotel there was a bridge with a great view, breakfast was ok
the facility's they advertised (pool, billiards table etc.) were in such bad condition you could not/ would not want to use them. the staff couldn't speak English, assuming you could even find them...
reception is just empty, no answer, no help. we couldn't check in for a long time until I finally found the kitchen and told them I need to check in and they found the receptionist...
heating did not work.
room was dirty with *multiple* big spiders and spider webs
pool is hard to access and dirty, I refused to go in..

If you book a CABIN ("chata","chalupa","chalet"), not a ROOM in the hotel, you will get a wooden cabin, but you still (might) get the excellent buffet breakfast at the hotel. The room comes with a fridge, kettle and electric heater, and small but functional shower and toilet. Good for cyclists, u can lock ur bike on the veranda. Inside net cutains but no insect nets so maybe bring citron candles in the summer and pincers to remove ticks (thats most of Central Europe in the summer anyway). The area is not dangerous (the CR is not dangerous, except for the ticks) but you are in a wooden cabin with ground floor windows, so keep valuables under the (tbh not very comfortable but better than a tent) bed. The hotel restaurant is not expensive and Zvikov castle semi-ruins (free unless u wanna go inside) are 10-15 minutes woodland walk away. And take the boat to Orlik castle: not cheap, but no carparking fees, and the boat ride is better value than actually going inside Orlik castle...
The bed could have been more comfortable. Wooden construction means the sounds you make inside may interest people outside. The paper hotel form for foreigners to fill in is B.S.: you do not legally need to fill in most of the questions, and the whole form seems to be a hangover from the communist days.
