I like the restaurants' selection and their excellent service quality, which was in my experience, exceptional for ski resorts. Hotel staff are friendly and helpful. I enjoyed walking around in the hotel, it is clean and thoughtfully maintained. The shuttle bus service is also good, pickup from the train station is hassles-free.

В этом году закрыта детская площадка с санками. По приезду были немного разочарованы. Но в след году планируют открыть. Если есть маленькие дети , лучше заранее уточнять.

Very clean but old. Room carpet needs to be redone. Hotel staff very eager to make our stay comfortable.

Many facilities for kids like swiming pool, snow park, kids ski school, etc. Beautiful onsen with several outdoor baths. It is so cool when you can relax in onsen after the ski work-out! Many ski trails, good for all levels including those who prefer off-piste areas!

Quite small choice of food during lunch time. There are no cafes at the hotel, you need to go to food-cort area which is located a little bit far. The conbiny shop has small choice of food, mostly souvenier sweets.

Good ski slope!

There was a reasonable choice of western and Japanese style breakfast options. The room was a comfortable size, the beds were fine and cleaning service excellent. The skiing is great and proximity to lifts and slopes is a major plus

The resort is getting quite run down. The carpet in our room was stained and worn so heavily there is no pile left at all in places; the sofas were also quite heavily stained. Wifi was woefully inadequate for a hotel managed by an international group. It was always very slow and failed completely under weekend load. Even on weekdays when the resort was quite empty, the wifi connection was unreliable with frequent interruptions and outages every single day. We frequently had to queue for admission for breakfast even at 7:00 am, and the breakfast room was internal, so windowless with no natural light. Too many ski lifts were out of service. We have stayed at Appi more than ten times over the past 15 years, and there have been growing signs of lack of maintenance and investment. Covid must have wreaked havoc with the resort’s finances, but with new management by an international group of IHG’s reputation and bearing in mind the cost of the accommodation and lift prices, we were taken aback by the number of lifts out of action - on some days only 4 out of 14 lifts were functioning, while even on the busiest days only 5 were in use, yet full ticket price was still charged. Too many runs were closed due to closed lifts and a ski event/race: Hayabusa (the most popular black run) was closed to non-racers for most of the week commencing 13 Feb through to 20 Feb. From 17 - 19 Feb open runs were very limited as some pistes were closed for racing and others inaccessible without crossing closed pistes. Finally, having paid upfront for our accommodation, which we assumed covered all associated fees and taxes, we were surprised to be charged an ‘Onsen tax’ 300 yen per day on checking out. This is apparently charged on ‘onsen hotels’ regardless of whether you use the onsen. That being the case it should be included in the package price - a small matter perhaps, but guaranteed to irritate departing guests.

Very convenient. The last bus to the resort from Morioka station was at 1:50pm from bus stop 26, at the West exit. Able to check in on arrival. Rented some skis on level 1 (hotel guests have a locker in the basement) and skied to the lifts from the hotel.

The room was extremely hot. Even though we turned off the heating and opened a window, it stayed uncomfortably warm. We like firm beds, but these were hard and the pillows were also flat and hard. The buffet breakfast was in a windowless ballroom, it felt more like a school camp than a hotel.

Loved the ski in ski out plus the half board food worked well.

Loved the location. A variety of choices for places for meals was welcome. Staff were always very helpful and accommodation very clean. Loved the heated toilet seats, laundry facilities.

Some restaurants and ski lifts were closed. I understand covid had an impact on the volume of travellers. The meals we managed, but really disappointed about our choice to ski runs, with lifts closed. Not happy to have to pay extra to use the indoor swimming pool. Also the elevator from the ski lockers room to the outdoors was broken for our entire stay. It was dangerous navigating the stairwell carrying ski and stocks, whilst wearing our ski boots.

Fixture in the room are old and not properly design. Wifi is not useable and weak mobile phone signal made it worse

The staff is very helpful in digging out my car from the snow in the parking lot. Highly appreciated.

The staff at Appi Crown Plaza were very helpful and accomodating. The onsen was great, and the breakfast/dinner buffet had great options. Korean BBQ restaurant was really enjoyable. The room has windows which open and a heater which can be switched off, so the heating can be regulated. The hotel shop has a good variety of snacks, local delicacies and sake. The ski resort ia right outside. The rooms are definitely retro but the price is very reasonable, so perhaps a total refurbishment would make the resort less affordable.

The walls are very thin and if you're accomodated next to a rowdy party, you will have a lot of disturbance. Perhaps request a quiet room. We had to move rooms due to a drinking party next door creating a lot of noise. Some rooms also get the ski resort music all day long.

Good location for the snow, very helpful staff, nice food

The hotel has a wide variety of restaurants for dinner but since we came during the peak season we had huge difficulty in booking the restaurant that we like. Luckily their staff Anesh was super helpful in helping to resolve our problems. With the great help from Anesh and their restaurant manager, we managed to try their different restaurants which are all very nice 👍🏻Thank you Anesh and 米田克利🙏🙏

Hotel was located next to ski lifts.. Slopes were great.

Front office staff doesn't seemed well versed with their job scope, as for the F&B outlets were not flexible too. Most of the restaurants were always fully booked and were not able to buy extra food for a take out! Meaning if you need extra food after dinner before 9pm - it only has to be instant noodles.
