Faded grandeur, once a pretty fancy hotel it is now a bit tatty around the edges but that is part of it's charm, lovely big rooms. It's a long way from the station, don't try to walk it if your bag is heavy, just get a taxi. Good ramen place next door. There is a shuttle bus to take you back to the station on departure.
No wifi in the rooms? Seriously it's 2023, really not that hard to organise I think.

The futon was hard.

Exception value to stay in a major hotel in Osaki. Free shuttle to onsen station. Even though I arrived extra late. The staff welcomed us with open hands. When we leave, we got treated with warm Japanese style VIP greetings. We will definitely book again.
Update web page of check in hours. We check in after 7 pm. It is fine.

Large well-equipped Japanese-style room.
Free shuttle back to the train station.
Great onsen!
A bit far from the train station if you do not have your own wheels.
Overall a bit rusty.

The room was big with a beautiful view
The futons were old, thin and uncomfortable
The room had a private bathroom but no hot water

Convenient location to Naruko Onsen. Lawson across the street and ramen restaurant next door. Didn’t actually use the onsens, but there were two, including one with a view from the 6th floor. Our room was quite spacious. I shared a room with a friend and there were chairs to sit in with a little table, a refrigerator, and a hot water kettle (although you would be forgiven for confusing the kettle with a rice cooker).
Aside from the fact that I don’t sleep well on a futon, there was a funky smell in the hallway which was quite off-putting. The room seemed dated.
