Nice Place, Great Location

Nice location at the top of a hill. Cool and pleasant breeze at night. Cabins are small and comfy with a good shower, decent bed, and good A/C. Good breakfast. WiFi does not work, but the property sits under two cell towers, so cell service is good. There is a constant drone from the equipment supporting the cell towers. 4G is good during the day, but less so in the evening as the island's up-link gets overloaded with too many selfie uploads. Friendly, helpful staff. 5 minutes from the airport. Good restaurants and shopping within walking distance. 20 minute walk to the beach (downhill). 30 minute walk back to the hotel. Nice porch and hammock on each cabin, making it a pleasant place to hang out. I would stay here again.

Very unpleasant attitude from the owner/manager when we arrived and payment didn’t go through at once. Very poor or unavailable internet.

Exceptional

Friendly and helpful staff. Great location. Easy walk to bus stop, restaurants (Xica da Silva, Flamboyant...), supermarket. The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was fabulous, traditional hot food cooked fresh, lots of fruit. Thanks Gertrude for the amazing food. They also served afternoon tea with cakes. We all enjoyed our stay and would recommend this pousada.
