Echte aanrader!
Alles was perfect.

More secluded feeling than the other hotels in Puerto with a wonderful large garden and wooden balustrades, to give you the feel you are in the tropics. The staff were very kind and they make a great break fast and dinner - but make sure to order dinner ahead of time!
The bathrooms and rooms are a little outdated and lit with harsh, fluorescent lights but that being said - they're big rooms, very clean, and equipped with AC and a wonderful balconied hallway to sit out on if it's not too hot.

The pool was big and very clean.
The rooms were a nice size and the bed was comfy. The bedroom & bathroom were very clean.
The gardens are really pretty
The pool was occupied most of the days by lessons for kids. We were only able to go in after 18:00.
The location is a little bit out of the way but we got a moped so it wasn’t too bad.

Only 2 nights here. We went next day to Hudson Bay to sail to the islands. That is nice to do that. They have a garden and very nice swimmingpool and many birds (who are amazing silent in the night).
Not be too long in Puerta Pr. In El Nido, Port Barton and Sabang many more to see. Spend there most of your time. For us 1 activity in PP was enough, not many to do more there. Or you regret maybe if you have not weeks in Palawan. We went to Robinson shopping mall, that is 15 minutes walking only. There you can buy everything. In the neighbourhood we had nice massage and many sari sari there near the street. Mostly with fresh fish. So if you can cook .... nice opportunity.
If you book a sailing trip dont rent a mask for 250 peso. In the port they have for 150 peso. Our guide did this wrong to us, he tried to play with us coz he know the shopowner who rent for 250 (he let the van stop there but did not tell us this is very high price). Later he told me "I dont know about this". Mmmm, not true coz he do this work many yrs and he know every meter there. He gave me back 100 peso, but now you know about it.

I recently stayed at this place for one night as a transit from Puerto Princesa to El Nido, and it was a good experience. The compound is nestled in a serene environment with birds, which added to the peaceful atmosphere.
The staff was very friendly and kept in communication with me to arrange for pick up and drop off to El Nido. Breakfast was quite good, and the staff was attentive to my needs.
The rooms are basic but clean, and that's all I needed for a quick overnight stay. However, I was impressed with the overall cleanliness of the place. Next time, if I visit Puerto Princessa, I would love to stay here for a longer period.
Overall, I highly recommend this place if you're looking for a peaceful and comfortable stay with good value for money
However, for improvement that I noticed during my stay. There was a power failure, which resulted in the use of a generator to turn on lights. Unfortunately, the voltage from the generator was not enough to run the ceiling fan, making it quite hot and uncomfortable in the room at night.

Grounds were well manicured.
Noise late at night, week wifi in most areas, cancellation policy 14 days in advance or get nothing. Lost my stores items in a locked storage room. Advertised pool is used for dive lessons and the public. Small food portions in restaurant. Keys welded to large lizard you have to carry with you!

Friendly and helpful staff. Better than average facilities. Breakfast choices were really good.
The fact Booking.com does not provide accurate information to help us know what to book.
Dinner meals need to be booked in advance but had to ask to find out that requirement - we thought no dinners were available!

Balay Tuko is an amazing place. Silently located but still close to Bayan, Robinson's Mall and a little market. Rooms are spacious and spotless, with comfortable beds and a big bathroom. The pool is huge and got a roof, so you can swim at any weather. The garden is beautiful and well maintained. And last but not least: The members of the staff all are incredibly nice and helpful, doing everything for the guests to feel at home.
A perfect experience!
The only thing we didn't like was the fact that we couldn't stay forever :)
