Breakfast was easy. Coffee, Bisquits and some fruits. Nothing crazy but a friendly service! Every morning when I came down the owner was really friendly and asked me how I am doing and how my night was, if the room is okay and if I need something.

The hotel is near to ferry port, and also in central location in Vathy. It is a family run hotel.
Bed linens and towels are not so clean.Maybe because of our visit in October.Perhaps it can be so clean in high season.

I love old hotels, and Hotel Bonis is a very charming one. Makes you feel like being back in the 60es, the place has all the romanticism of another time when places were simple and heartful. Very clean, very easy, very friendly. Very close to the water front and to the center too. Loved it!!!!
Liked everything!

yes the furniture was all a bit old as other reviews say but it all certainly did the job - the bed was comfortable enough so I am not complaining. I had breakfast both mornings I was there - egg, meat & cheese, banana, coffee, orange juice, bread - initially they told me it was extra but as I was checking out she didn’t let me pay which was very kind. owners & employees were all very nice. location was pretty convenient, the views were lovely. attached photos are view from my room & view from breakfast table.
as others have said the shower is small but pretty normal in my experience - also there are shower curtains now

I cannot recommend Hotel Bonis highly enough for any travelers wanting to visit Vathy on a budget. The hotel was exceptional value for money with a large room overlooking the bay that had a lovely breeze, a refrigerator in the room that worked very well, a good, hot shower, and an AMAZING breakfast. The couple who run the hotel are delightful, so helpful, and extremely kind. They even had the room ready for me to check in early so I could pass out after a long few days of traveling to reach the island.
The location is fantastic, only a 10 minute walk into the centre of Vathy, and easily accessible by car to the peripheral road that leads out of Samos to go to other parts of the island.
The aircon worked a treat, the bed was so comfortable, and when I accidentally left a few shirts in the closet they helped me arrange to send them on by courier to another part of Greece.
This is a TRUE Samos stay with all the trimmings - care, hospitality, kindness, and great food.
I can't think of anything that I didn't like about this wonderful hotel! I suppose I would only note for any travelers who have mobility problems that the hotel is located up a steep(ish) hill and some steps, so it might not be suitable for those who have trouble walking or climbing stairs.

the lobby was extremely smokey and people who were sitting there (friend of the personnel) were very noisey through out the night. The sheets didn’t seem clean, we found some hairs and slept on the towels (they seemed clean). At 3,4 am people were shouting in the hallway. Beforehand we asked for an airport shuttle and received a message via booking saying that’ll work and it’s even included. At arrival we were told there’s no car and nobody has sent any message. Weird.. We only stayed for 6 hours anyways. all in all not recommendable.
