It is a beautiful palace building in a beautiful place next to the lake. The staff was really nice and helpful. Good breakfast included.
Where to start... So, first of all - the pictures of the room are mixed and they show 2 different rooms (absolutely different rooms of different styles - so you do not get what you have in the pictures - but you realise that when you are in the room). We were given a room at the highest end of the palace, not a room with high windows, etc but a loft room - a nice room but in terrible condition. Also, with my mum who has health problems and cannot walk or use stairs (mobility impairment), it was a nightmare to get her on the 2nd floor on very tiny steep steps. Unfortunately, I was told all other rooms were booked so no possibility to change. This was for 1 night and we arrived in the evening so we had to manage to help my mum to get to the room. Then the room itself - a terribly damaged bathroom, dirty toilet paper, missing tiles where the shower is, you just do not want to enter it. The chairs in the room should not be used as they could fall apart in pieces. The TV not working, the staff had to set up tv. The wi-fi not working in the room. Not even basic facilities such as a kettle. We could come down and get a tea for free, but even no tray was available, so I had to manage to bring hot cups with the tea to the room myself - again - steep unsafe staircase, a long corridor, dark lightning, another staircase, another long corridor...

If you want to spend time in peace with bit of Agatha Christie atmosphere - this is definitely a place for you!
We arrived late evening and have been nicely welcome by the kindest hotel service in my life!
Good drink under shooting starts on the terrace is all you need after busy seaside time - and we got it 120%!
Breakfast was simple but tasty. You could tell rooms and bathrooms were furnished some time ago - but all was clean and functional

A hidden treasure in the countryside to retreat and write a book. An authentic steam train , (stop 5 minutes walk from the hotel) going to the beach 20 km away adds this retro style . Great gone with the wind atmosphere and local cuisine.
Everything in relax modus and child/dog friendly
The great view on the lake, easy parking
An adresss to keep for oneself
Nothing really, a good start of holidays

The hotel is located in an old palace, owners renovated it and keep an old-days atmosphere. Still, a room is equipped with a bathroom and TV. It's nice and quiet around, you can have your breakfast in a restaurant or near the palace in front of the lake. Breakfast has a good assortment, with pancakes, and they offer to get a fried egg. In the evening you can also order meal in a restaurant.
We were two adults and one child of 10yo. Unfortunately, we felt that room was a bit small for us. It was under the roof and a child had to climb to the bed, and have hurt herself slightly a couple of times. So, this room could be more suitable for a smaller child. Another point is that there was no cleaning in the room during our staying. Though, it was not a problem for us, as we don't make a mess.
