Maten, kunsten, rommene, personalet og området. Helt enestående.
Prisen. Som det meste i Norge var alt overpriset.

This is a cute little guest house in a picturesque mountain town. The area has a lot of history, and this location has been a functioning guest house for decades, run by the family for 5 generations. Staff is friendly and the food is amazing.
The stay was amazing. My only complaint is that our schedule didn't allow us to have more time here. I would definitely come back again at another time.

The breakfast bar was exceptional! We loved the varieties of bread and jams/jellies. Wonderful meats for the breakfast sandwiches. Loved the classical music and the candlelight for breakfast. The best thing was it was my birthday, and you made it truly magical!

This was the highlight of our 16 days in Scandinavia!

Amazing experience to live in an old timber cottage. You get a feeling of old Norway here.
When we arrived late in the evening, it was dark and raining, and we were unsure how to find the Chalet in the dark. The staff did not offer to guide us there. He clearly didnt want to go out and get wet, and instead tried to convince us to book a room in the house instead. The lighting was so bad outside that we had to drive a few rounds to find the chalet. Would've appriacted it if the staff of this premium price property would take his umbrella and torch light to show us.
Superior breakfast wasnt superior at all. Infact it was quite disappointing. I dont know what normal people expect when you hear superior. But what we got was bread and some jams. That's basically it. I asked the waiter to make bacon and eggs. He did. but clearly not a trained chef. I can tell you what I expect when I hear superior: English breakfast, champagne, barista level coffee, warm food menu and pastries.

The four course dinner was delicious and beautifully presented! Ellen, the owner, told us the interesting history about the area before dinner. The next day she gave us a tour of the parsonage and chapel, which had been her childhood home. She made our stay so personal and special. It was a rainy fall day outside but inside it was cozy and we were able to sit by the fire for a relaxing morning.

Food was absolutely delicious. Location was great, with fantastic views from some rooms. Staff were lovely and very helpful. It was a lovely traditional and very beautiful Norwegian guest house. An interesting and enjoyable experience.
Food was very expensive, drinks were off the scale expensive and it was not clear whether they were included in the meal price although they were pushed hard by staff during the 4 course menu. No drinks facilities in the room and after long drive to get to the property we even had to pay for coffee on arrival. It may be a very interesting and pleasant experience but boy do you pay through the nose for it. One night in a small room with a meal - £375.00. Unfortunately, not much else in the area so if you need to stay here as a traveller on a budget, be prepared, bring your own food and drink!

Nutheim Gjestgiveri is such a special place. From the magical location to the wonderful staff and the rich history, it was truly a memorable experience. Our dinner meal was also outstanding. We vacationed in Norway for 3 weeks and this stay was a highlight.
The breakfast was a little simple but tasty. Some cooked heated dishes would have been nice like maybe a frittata and some waffles.

Very cozy hotel at a wonderful location. There is obviously a lot of love and attention to detail put into the whole concept, giving the place a lot of charm and character. Great rooms, friendly staff and an absolutely fantastic dinner in the evening. All that located on a nice property with many spots to stroll and relax when the weather permits. Definitely recommend.
everything was great

In a nutshell, this was the perfect combination of nature, art, homeyness and history! Management and staff were extremely nice and helpful! If you’re tired of the commercially running luxury hotels and look for a “koselig” (search in Norwegian dictionary!) experience we would definitely recommend an stay in this lovely place. :)
Nothing at all! Probably seems a bit overpriced which worth the unique experience.
