Breakfast was ok, although it would have been nice to have some herbal tea bags (eg. Peppermint) and decaffeinated coffee provided for those of us who can’t have caffeine. Ray (our guide) knew lots about jungle animals and plants, and spoke English well, which was great.
A lot of the food was very oily, so some steamed options would have been good if possible.

This was a package with trips on the River, jungle hiking and other activities, meals included and it was the best part of our trip to the Borneo Jungle. I highly recommend a stay here if you're interested in Borneo Wildlife. We saw, Pygmy Elephants, Orangutans, Proboscios Monkeys, Macaques, Hornbills, Crocodiles and lots more. We had a wonderful guide Leo and his boatman Nelson was just the best guy. The food provided was excellent quality, nice variety but sometimes there wasn't enough. The accomodation was comfortable, had a good bed and shower and good working air conditioning. I would highly recommend a stay at Bilit for a trip to Borneo.
I did not like the hygiene factor for my feet of having to remove my shoes for the dining room. Fruit at mealtimes was sparse which I can't understand in a land of fruit! And no bananas which was surprising.

- Range of foods available in the buffet section
- Transfer bus from Sandakan which was helpful
- The guide (Mason) was really informative, comical and helpful
- Beautiful and calm area. It's well taken care of.
- When wanting to join the resorts wifi, was informed that there would be an extra charge
- Had to pay for wellington boots and leech socks to join the afternoon and the evening walk. I did feel that I already paid a significant amount of money to stay there, and therefore the cost should have been included

The room includes the tour which was amazing. We saw so much wildlife including orangutans, civet cat and a slow loris!! The lodge is so peaceful, just in the jungle with boardwalks around. Very comfortable and clean room. Buffet style food, they made us separate meals as we are both vegan, so they cater for everyone. One day we were the only people at the lodge so it was so nice and quiet. The night walk is good but we had a large group which made it hard to see things if you are at the back, you can hire wellies and leech socks.

Fantastic tour package - food was delicious, accommodation is very comfortable, very knowledgeable and friendly tour guide and staff.

Rooms are large and well furnished, and the food (particularly considering the MCO) was tasty, varied and plentiful. Our guide was knowledgable and clearly passionate about the outdoors. They showed us different parts of the river on each cruise which was appreciated.
The night walk was a bit lacklustre, it is right by the accommodation so I’m not sure you would be expected to see lots of animals in this area.

The food is great and the guides / staff were lovely given the situation. The location of the lodge is fantastic and we saw a lot of wildlife there.
Sadly we were impacted by the virus restrictions. Having paid a lot of money for 3 of us to stay and do activities for 2 nights, we paid about $80 each per night just to stay there, no refund or discount. We were offered a 10% discount for the next place, but when we got there they did not honour that. They were very keen to get rid of us and we were happy to leave on the first available flight. They could have handled the situation with a bit of genorosity since we will be coming back to Borneo when things improve, but wont be using these guys or their sister resort.
