I liked the staff i met. She tried her best to make me feel comfortable but i was soo unsatisfied with the room and everything. Below expectations
Everything. The room was dirty. Bathroom dirty. Mosquitoes were alot. The door couldn’t lock well, I didn’t feel safe as a woman. The bedsheets has stains. The soap in the bathroom had hair on it to show that it was not cleaned after the last person used it. I regretted patronizing the hotel

The place is located in a residential neighbourhood, about a kilometre away from Renaissance monument, easily accessible by taxis with road right opposite the property. Clara and her sister Josephine who live at the property are both extremely helpful & polite. Clara speaks English well which was important for us as our French is limited to few words. We also parked our 4x4 on the driveway. Clara helped us with money change, loaned us jump start leads when our batteries went flat. Our room was huge in size with nice aircon with good level of cleanliness. I would stay again at Clara's place without hesitation and it gets my recommendation.
Nothing.

Usually I don't write reviews but after this stay I feel that I need to share my experience. Les 5 Lanternes is a nice hotel with one thing you won't find anywhere else: that is the hospitality of Clara. She is an amazing host and will do her best to make your stay as good as possible. I was a few days stuck in Dakar due to air traffic strike and she helped me a lot to look for alternatives overland and at the end she helped me reinstate my flight ticket. I also found Ouakam a nice district to stay. Choose this place if you want to experience the Senegalese Teraanga!

Clara is really friendly and super nice, you feel welcome there.
It is a little für from the Center, but there are lot of Busses (i can recommend bus number 3) or you cab grab a taxi ( also Lots of them there).
Very nice neighbourhood, supermarkets, not far from Isle ngor.

Very homely stay with nice host and large room with great breakfast
Location is ok if you have a car but complicated to find or explain the taxi.

Easily accessible by public transportation & Clara and her staff can be reached 24/7 to help with anything—guiding taxi drivers to ordering food for delivery and advising on anything one may need—
Nothing to report

I liked the environment, Madam Silvia is a very nice and hospitable person. The rooms are very clean and great value for money.
They should have someone whom would always be on duty to help in taking the clients baggage upstairs when it is late though i find Madam Silvia very nice and helpful.
