Very clean, cosy and nice little room in a lovely town. Comfortable bed nice bathroom and a little sitting area. Close to many cafes and restaurants and well worth a stay. The Queens building is being privately renovated and what they have done so far has been great and can’t wait to come back and see the finished results so drop by and stay so you can help their labour of love project.

Everything was ok

Accurately described in advance , that there was some work needed still to be done on the lower floors of this large building to increase the number of lettable rooms to 14, Sian is doing a splendid job, I have done up several old properties and know it is expensive and not easy to do around guests.
0nly one small problem of confusing access to top floor through the necessary fire doors, but this easily solved with a few signs.

Suited my needs, that is, a shower and somewhere to sleep.
I didn't need anything fancy but the decor needs some work.

Location was busy and a bit noisy. Building had a nice history.
Currently being renovated however felt like a bit of a fire trap. Into the future it has the makings of a nice B & B but not yet. The sachets of porridge as a breakfast were disgusting. If advertised as a B& B - need to do better.

The house is beatiful old building undergoing thorough reconstruction. The room we stayed in was cosy, with spacious bathroom, comfy beds. I travelled through Wales by railway with my 11year old son so we also appreciated the site si near to the station.
Do not know abour anything.

Good size bedroom, easy shower with hot water, comfortable bed, good location, friendly host
Staircase, no fridge, no microwave, tired decor, traffic noise

Room clean and comfortable.
Top floor - 3 flights of stairs to carry bags. Toilet did not flush and shower was a tiny trickle. However work was bring done on the property to bring it up to scratch.

The bed was really comfortable, bedding was clean and pillows were comfy. Had lots of storage and tea/coffee, porridge, crockery etc which was good. It already stated that it didn't do breakfasts so cannot fault that, and that it was under renovation so some facilities wasn't available. Very private, quiet and safe. Host was lovely. Great location, loved the easy access to pubs and restaurants nearby, making up for the bar being closed. Bar directing beside it, at the train station. It was quite pricey, considering just a room. But nether the less, it was okay. Thank you very much.
As for cleanliness, it was quite dusty and there was a need for a vacuum. The wall has a splatter up in on the skirting board. The bathroom was OK, wasn't grimy other than the ceiling.
Stairs were a mission but was clearly stated that not suitable for those with mobility issues, so no fault there.

We were holidaying using an Explore Wales pass on National Rail. The Queens Rooms are right next to the National Rail station but it is not noisy. The Heritage Railways are an easy walk away at the other end of the High Street. Some interesting pubs and eateries within easy walking distance.
All good.

The bed was comfortable
Quite right, it is just a room you get and there is nothing else available as this building is a work in progress. Has been for years apparently. But even the room was not finished. Patched up and old well used furniture. But as a one nighter en-route it served the purpose.

Comfiest bed ever and lovely, homey feel. Think of it almost as a big Airbnb, with a friendly host who's renovating the middle floor herself and greeted me personally.
Would have loved some dairy-free options for the hot drinks/porridge selection.
Hotel is a bit dated but my room was lovely (only I wish it had a mirror and a wardrobe) However the hotel is in the process of being renovated so I expect it will improve in time.

The owner was very kind and helpful. The room itself was clean. The location was very good.
The entrance and staircase were a bit offputting upon arrival. Needs a good cleaning for a better impression.

Simple room with few facilities as I expected. Good value for money.
Bathroom separated for the room entrance

I was in Room 5, which was a good size, and had a comfortable bed, and WiFi.
I know that the hotel is undergoing refurbishment but this has to be one of the worst hotels I've stayed in for a long time. Given that the room was supposedly refurbished, it is just not worth £65 per night. The electrical wiring is far from satisfactory and may be dangerous, with holes in the ceiling, and shabby - see pics. The front entrance is what people see first - but that too was disgusting - see photo. The location is good, next to the station but the noise of the traffic going over the level crossing meant sleep was not easy. I suggest that the hotel closes, completes the refurbishment then opens again.

This property (only) supplies a generous amount of free coffee tea milk and porridge to make in your room. They are clear about that on booking and it is reflected in the price. There are plenty of local cafes for something more substantial, and they give plates and cutlery in your room for food you bring yourself
WiFi on the top floor is very unreliable

Perfect little spot for a place to stay whilst travelling. Currently in the middle of renovating but didn’t interrupt our stay at all, would love to come back to the outcome once it’s all finished!
Nothing.

The location was perfect, walking distance to Tesco, food places and pubs

The ground floor is being renovated. The staircase to the upper floors was OK with landings between stairs. The room faced the Railway Station, with correct size and thickness to keep out the light. It opened part way. The room was clean, the double bed was very comfortable with a snuggly douvet. There was a kettle with Tea and Coffee, Hot chocolate and 2 large sachets of morning porridge. The shower room had walk in shower, toilet with lots of rolls and was basin.
The completion of the ground floor will give a better first impression.

Really lovely room, it was a good price as well especially as it was right in the middle of Porthmadog. The staff were so lovely too, definitely would stay there again next time we travel up there
Nothing, the room was clean and tidy, the bed was very comfortable. No issues at all :)

In the process of restoration. Should be fantastic when finished. Only thing for me was too soft a bed, I like a really firm one. Close to shops, quiet at night and very peaceful.
