The location was very good.
We didn’t get the suite we believed we had booked which was an attic suite. The room/suite we got had no wardrobe or closet just two drawers to put all our clothes in - my husband was kind and let me use both drawers and he kept his clothes in his suitcase. We did bring it to the attention of the staff on reception but was told the photos are just a representation of what you will get. They were full on the first night we were there but offered us to move on our second night but we felt this was super inconvenient so did not do this. We were on a 17 day tour of northern Spain and have to say this was the most disappointing place we stayed.

Very comfortable and rooms equipped to a high standard - excellent bed, lovely sheets and towels, great shower.
The mannequins are a bit creepy!

The position, the quality and the people
The bed was the worst. Very hard.

The hotel itself is a spectacular eighteenth century mansion, right in the heart of the old city of Lugo. There's a lot of antique furnishing too.
My room was rather too warm; I couldn't get the AC to work. In the lobby and outside on the terrace they play mindless muzak. Luckily that can't be heard in the rooms. Of the two receptionists, one was lovely, the other seemed impatient.
4.5
Very quirky. Lovely big room with a fabulous bathroom. Great shower. Offered us secure parking. Staff were very friendly.
It was lovely.
4.5
Wonderful location with stunning views of the muralla romana.
Quirky antiques & curiosities throughout.
Helpful & accomodating staff.
*AC didn't work, so our room was stuffy all night. It's not possible to keep windows open due to street noise.
*Quite pricey for very basic amenities.
*bedspread was stained & floor under the bed was dirty

Location was excellent within the old city wall with parking next to the hotel. The hotel was unusual, quirky, full of antiquities and very interesting. Our room was large, the bathroom massive. The manager was very helpful.

Best location in an old house full of charm. Very nice and spacious room.

Friendly staff, wonderful location, delicious breakfast, convenient parking and quirky decor - we loved everything about it.

The hotel looks antique yet magic and misterious, very charming and cozy. Staff is awesome, professional and very kind. The room was large, well equipped and comfy. Overall a great experience.
I liked everything about the hotel, the room, the service and the staff

Very nicely decorated hotel in the perfect location inside the old city wall. Staff was exceptionally helpful. Easy check in. Very big and clean room and the big bath tub was a lovely surprise!
Couldn't fault anything. We were happy with everything. Totally exceeded our expectations!
4.5
a lovely room with an amazing view of the Roman wall, in a very quirky establishment.
for the price, some more breakfast options would have been good, particularly fresh cooked ones.
4.5
The quirkiness of the hotel and rooms. The size of the rooms and bathrooms. The location.
Beds too soft. Noisy with sounds of voices at night.
4.5
Location. Proximity to Roman Wall.
4.5
Being in the heart of the old Roman city and right by the Roman walls. We were close to a restaurant which served multiple vegan options - delicious. We were able to park and charge our electric car right next to the hotel.
Nothing. Nothing. Nothing.
4.5
Such a beautiful hotel. Spotlessly clean with excellent facilities.
4.5
The location within the walls. The historic building. The size of the shower.
The service. For a four star hotel we did not feel welcome. When we messaged the hotel about reserving a car space, early check-in and our dogs we reserved a mountain of information in Spanish which felt impersonal and off-putting. The same at checkout, it lacked a feeling of attention.
4.5
Beautiful old building but very clean, bright and welcoming. Very attractive courtyard area at the front with lovely acers in pots.
Rather creepy mannequins dotted around the place outside and in😬

The location was fantastic right inside the wall. car park next door. The hotel itself was lovely, big room and comfortable. the bathroom was stunning.

Wonderful location, beautiful decor, very helpful staff

This location can’t be beat, being just inside the walls of the old city of Lugo. Staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful, and the charm of this historical building is amazing. Our suite had a lovely jacuzzi tub and a massive bed and TV, and was accessorized whimsically and with taste.
The only downside is the liveliness of the old city, resulting in lots of outside noise on the Saturday night of our stay - until at least 4 am.
