Hotel is in a very central location to explore town and attend the Bad Homburg Open. The staff was super nice.
The rooms facing the restaurant are spacious with a balcony but very tired and very hot on a warm summer day. Not enough parking available for guests.

The location was wonderful. It was directly across the street from an amazing park with lovely walking trails and next door to two really good restaurants. It was also within very close walking distance of a huge shopping area with many restaurants. The bus line was also close, in case you need public transport. The underground parking was very convenient and reasonably priced. The rooms were very big and the pull out sofa was just as comfortable as a regular bed (which I can't say was much, but some hotels have really bad pull out sofas, so this one was a pleasant surprise).
There were two main problems that affected my feelings about the hotel and led me to giving it such a low rating. First, there was no air conditioning. We were there in the summer and it was quite hot and humid. Not having air conditioning was a serious issue. Also, though they had no air conditioning, so you would expect to open windows to let in some air, there were no screens on the windows. Which meant bugs were in your room if you left them open. Second, was the cleanliness of the hotel. Most everything was clean, but the hotel was supposed to be non-smoking yet everywhere you went the hotel smelled like tobacco smoke. It could be because there were ash trays on every balcony (clearly that non-smoking rule didn't extend to the balconies of the rooms) and with all the windows open to let in air, you also let in all the smoke. But the smell was in the hallways too, so I'm not totally sure. Even the beds smelled like smoke. Many people won't have a problem with this, but my son is extremely sensitive to smoke because he has asthma. As for other things I didn't like, the bed wasn't very comfortable, but not any more uncomfortable than any other hotel in Europe. For some reason, people in Europe seem to think your bed needs to be hard as a rock and pretty much all hotels are the same on this matter. Everything else was very nice.

Location and breakfast are good at this hotel , and what you would expect of a 4 star establishment.
The computer / reservation system
Needs a serious upgrade . On arrival
At 13.00 my booking could not be found and after an extended wait (after
A long drive on the Autobahn ) he complained that he problems with the connection to Bookings .com
Finally I was allocated a room after
A 30min delay . After proceeding to
The allocated room , I find the room in occupation by another guest . What happen to security with all his goods
Laying in the room . On returning to the front desk I got the impression that they thought I did not know what I was saying ,he then came up with me to make sure I was right ,serious ?
We return to the front desk once again
And after much hand wringing and involving yet another member of staff
I finally got into a room .
If you are a fan of John Cleese and faulty towers this comes close to the real thing . My next destination was Singapore in order to enter I needed
an entry form to be submitted no longer than 72 hours prior to arrival
To the Singaporean authorities , to be save and carry a hard copy with me I
Requested my travel agent to email a
Copy to the hotel with room number
And name .I got my travel agents email
And proceeded to reception to get a print out . Needless to say no email could ne found in the system ,I then send my email to the receptionist personnel email who then proceeded
To print me a copy hallelujah! !!!!!!!
Enough said make up your own mind .

There used to be a spa in the hotel for all guests and it was cancelled

The minibar was not working. The room was poor. Receive a new room. Also in this room the minibar was not working.
They repair it after 2 days. In bathroom only liquid soap, almost impossible to take it out from bottle. From 2 soap bottles,
one was empty. They did not fill it after my request. Find small insects in the room. Receive a nice third room. At the end
of my stay at night, I was bitted badly by a big insect in this third room.
All my stay was a bad expirence.
But, I have to notice that all the staff was very polite and wanted to help me from their heart. They did the maximum they
can do to help.
