location was great , ocean view was good
dirty old hotel , one star at best

It's a good location for parties. But if you want a good early good night rest then this is not the hotel. The ocean view is great for sunset. Can't beat the price.
The hotel's common area is very unique. I felt like I was in a tropical forest. It's a good place for a nice meal. You got to try the burger at the hotel, seriously. It's a version of NM burger that has guacamole, but no hot chilli.
The water pressure is weak for a good shower. I was there 4 nights in mid March 2023. After I booked the room, they emailed me and said that week is the AC yearly maintenance period. I did not need AC for that week.

Great location. Wonderful old Town interior.
Traffic noise and BUT it is vacation area. Bring earplugs.

The people that work there are extremely nice. They try to make your stay as best as they can. We had a room and on the side we were able to see the ocean. The hotel is very beautiful.
4.3
The staff is very friendly and helpful. It has a nice courtyard and is across from the ocean. Rooms are basic but comfortable.

Location.
balcony door doesn't lock. Anyone could step over and break in from other rooms.

Greeted by Juan at the entrance. Helpful in all ways and very pleasant. Great sense if humor. Enjoy the setting and location.
The hotel should supply drinking water and small refrigerators in the rooms.
4.3
room location - at night we fell asleep to the sound of the waves crashing on the beach. The staff was very accomodating. The room was clean...with the exception of a cheeseball left from previous guests :).

Dirty, disgusting place. We didn't want to use washroom how bad it was.

Sitting on our 3rd floor balcony looking over Olas Atlas beach and the busy malecon was enjoyable as the view was pretty.
The price was not the same as quoted on Booking.com. The front desk clerk was dismissive and started our arrival off on a bad note. The payment needed to be in pesos but the directions to find a money exchange in the area was confusing and inaccurate. The room is not secure as the glass sliding door did not lock and the balconies are connected. The stairwell and flooring leading to the rooms are uneven and a hazard.

Room was excellent. Maids did an excellent job in cleaning the room.
Hard to find parking

On the plus side, the location is the best in the city, the ocean-view from our balcony was stupendous, and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful.
I realize that this is considered a “budget hotel,” but USD 66 per night seems way too high considering the negatives, which are:
1) No hot water, which was understandable because of the damage caused by the tropical storm from the previous week, but because of the water problems, the hotel should have been more thoughtful and provided bottled water for the guests. The toilet water was yellow, and the faucet water was brown. We had to constantly buy bottled water for ourselves for drinking and bathroom functions.
2) No safe to store our valuables, so we were forced to carry everything with us wherever we went.
3) No electric kettle to boil water for tea or coffee.
4) No glasses or cups for drinking, so we had to buy cups from the local tienda.
5) The WiFi was the worst I’ve ever experienced in a hotel. The connection was slow, and many times there was no connection at all.
However, my biggest complaint is…..why didn’t you inform me in advance of the problems caused by the storm? If I had this information, maybe I would have sought out different accommodations, or maybe I would have said, “no problem, thanks for letting me know but I’ll continue with my reservation.” Either way, don’t you feel like you have an obligation to inform me of these problems before I arrive? Perhaps a small refund is in order? Or maybe you don’t consider this your responsibility. Anyway, I wanted to bring this to your attention in the hope that you’ll do better in the future. Thanks!

We had a room with a fantastic view of the beach and ocean. The glass doors and window covered nearly the whole wall. We could relax on the beds and watch the people (and pets!) on the malecon and the beach, from dogs frolicking on the beach, to people doing tai chi, to the crowds of people jogging, walking, skating, walking dogs, etc. on the malecon.
The beds were very comfortable, and I slept great every night despite the traffic noise.
The staff was very helpful.
Great bar in the lovely courtyard. Birds and towering plants everywhere.
Starting at 5pm, the traffic and crowd noise was high until the wee hours. On the positive side, it didn't keep me awake, and the music and people singing along was festive.

Very nice location, found parking nearby and the beach was very close.
There was a lady knocking on the room next to ours very early, started screaming out names and would not let us sleep.
