Beautiful old building, fantastic views from the pool. Excellent location for old town Maratea where you can easily spend a couple of days relaxing in a still relatively un touristy part of Italy. Staff very helpful and friendly.
Due to being an old building sound insulation isn't great when people are moving around in the morning if you are trying to lie in.

Such a beautiful little hotel, up above Maratea, and walkable to the town centre. Fantastic views from the room and the poolside, and a lovely family run atmosphere- they were so helpful with any questions we had. So glad we stayed.
Nothing, loved it .

This is truly the most beautiful hotel we have stayed in ever. It has so much character, the furniture, the art work, all add to the charm of this unique building which used to be a monastery. the views over Maratea are spectacular. The owners and staff could not have been nicer or more helpful. Our rooms were very comfortable, very clean, and we had a lovely balcony. The restaurant is perfect. The area beside pool and hot tub so pretty perfect for relaxing. 10/10 all the way for this place.
There was nothing I didn’t like about this property. The owners have restored it to perfection, it has old style charm with everything you need to hand. Stunning, stunning, stunning!!

The property is unique, originally having been a 17th or 18th century covent, and is situated at the top of the hill with a few into the charming town. Rooms were spacious and lovely and although it was raining when we were there, there is a lovely pool. would highly recommend!

Love this hotel, the staff extremely welcoming and nice.
Pieceful and relaxing atmosphere, room extremely clean aswell as the hotel allover.
We booked a room with balcony and the view was amazing over Maratea !
Spacious room !
Hidden gem is a good description.
Breakfast realy good and I loved starting the day with the view while enjoying breakfast.
Enjoy and unwind !
Yet to mention that there are stairs, incase you have a proplem with that, but thats is ofcourse very common in towns nestling in hilltops.
Swimmingpool perfect and realy nice enjoying a drink there in the evening
RECOMEND is the word
I loved my two nights staying, if anything then in my case the bed a litle to hard

Great View from room and property.
Character of old buildings.
Staff lovely and v helpful.
Bed was very hard.
Property was hard to find.
Air con having a hard time on a hot August day n night.
At half the price one could easily overlook the issues. At around $300US a night we thought it was way overpriced compared to all our other stays this trip.

The pool, garden area and old town/mountain views from this hotel are exceptional - we found it difficult to pull ourselves away. It's even nicer than the photos! Breakfast was also great, with lots of options and variety. Parking is very handy and staff are very helpful in providing directions and organising restaurant reservations. The hotel also provides a short document with sight seeing tips in the surrounding area, and even though I'd researched the area before we arrived, this information provided an unexpected highlight. We had a really relaxing and enjoyable stay and we'll go out of our way to stay here again.
It would be good to open the pool bar before 2:30pm, and to also play some soft music by the pool. Air conditioning in the room could be more effective and while this wasn't an issue for us, I suspect it could be an issue for some in hotter weather.

Nice property in a charming village.
The beds are too hard. One of us had a particularly hard bed and a sleepless night as a result. A pity, because in all other respects it was a great stay.

Everything! They were really helpful with transport arrangements and general information. The hotel has an amazing view, clean and very confortable

Staff, room, breakfast, and facilities, everything was great! The breakfast had a great variety of choices, from local pastries to well known pastries and continental options. The swimming pool is right at the centre of the property, with a partial view of the town - it was beatiful.
The property is located right on top of the town, from our room we could have a spectacular view of the whole town and mountains. From a side you can walk on the main church and then (via the labyrinth of small streets) reach the centre; from another side you can reach the car parking and main square. Nice location.
The staff is very helpful, friendly.
4.5
nice location above the old city, marvelous views from a big private terrace.
the hotel has no elevator, but is an old four-level building built on a very steep hill. thus you are climbing over stairs all the day. therefore i regard this place as uncomfortable. our room was allegedly a « deluxe » room…but far too small for two people with luggage. the swimming pool consisted largely of a very shallow part bad for swimming. the staff at the breakfast service was not fully competent ( e.g. preparation of two 3-minute eggs lasted 20 minutes and only one was delivered.)
4.5
Beautiful surroundings and great pool. The breakfast buffet had a lot to offer and it was possible to make a reservation at a beach through the hotel.
We would have liked an introduction to all of the things the hotel offers instead of having to find out ourselves.
4.5
Bed quality and window view.
Very poor Bathroom kit (no shampoo)
