Simple room with a comfy bed and good shower. Had an iron and the breakfast was good.
It was very warm in the main building even on a cold winters morning it was too hot inside.

Dinner and staff excellent. Dining room itself ideal. My room was value for money. Shower great apart from mentions below which might have been down to my incompetence. Loved the shower gel. Hotel itself was larger than expected. Sat nav found it easily and there was plenty of parking space.
Breakfast was let down by lack of appliances to aid helping oneself. Dish of butter nicely set out but nothing available to transfer butter onto toast or plate. No spoons alongside fruit dishes.
Shower in room was really good but it took me a little time to figure out how to stop the water, achieve correct temperature. Mattress on bed was too soft for me. Personal preference!

Good location, friendly staff
Needs a bit of love and care and updating. Little things like a broken toaster, tea cups and saucers all add to good customer service. Lick of paint and new upholstery would help.

Breakfast was good
Why was the TV in the lounge permanently on the parliament channel had you lost the remote. Put something better on or turn it off

In town centre
The mattress on the bed in room 20 was very uncomfortable and you could feel the springs

From the outside it looks very attractive and is a convenient distance from the station by taxi. The bar and conservatory were comfortable.
The decor and general maintenance of interiors was poor and the room was small, hot, musty smelling unpleasant. The whole place was very tired (in fact exhausted is more accurate) and overpriced for what was delivered.

Friendly staff
Breakfast strange - if you had porridge you couldn't have cooked food unless you paid extra!!
Dinner very ordinary

The staff and the manor were great. They were chatty and friendly. Breakfast was good in the morning. It was ideal for us staying over for a night.
Not that we did not like where we were. But the room and the building although comfortable was looking a little tired and dated and in need of decorating.

The staff were pleasant and the dinner was A1
The room was disgusting - badly in need of refurbishment. We refused to use the shower Ug!

Room was rather tired looking and could do with a refurb. However it was clean with a very comfortable bed and a plentiful supply of hot water with good pressure which, for an old building, was unusual. The communal facilities, that is toilets, bar, breakfast room and conservatory were pleasant areas. And all of the staff were very pleasant and helpful. We had an enjoyable lunch in the conservatory which had a nice outside seating area. Breakfast the following day was excellent and great value for money. The location of The Manor was fine but having lived in the area some time back was surprised at how run down the town had become. However, we were there for an overnight stay to attend a friends birthday celebration and I would recommend The Manor for a short stay.
A general refurb of rooms in the main building would be good.

The water pressure for the shower was excellent. The breakfast was great, as was the location.
Our room was clean but very small for a double, as was the bathroom. We were lucky we could have our dog stay with us. The room we stayed in, was used especially for guests and their beloved pooches but we had to pay extra for our dog. I would not have minded this, but the room was tired and tatty.

From the moment I booked in the staff were amazing. Very helpful and friendly. And the room was spotlessly clean.
Would have liked a matress protector on top of the matress as could feel the matress buttons. One night stay probably wouldn't have said but a for night stay was a bit lumpy.

The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast the following morning was exceptional, both the food and the staff.
There could have been more teas, coffees and milk sachets in the room. The parking was difficult due to an event taking place on the same night we stayed.

Food was good, room was comfortable and the weekend staff were wonderful, especially our Romanian waitress.
Breakfast staff on Monday need to be a little more customer service oriented.
