Pleasant staff and nice friendly place

Comfortable clean room . Sadly we had to leave very early so had to pass on breakfast. Not their fault as it was very early

Very central hotel in an old building very well maintained. Staff very courteous and helpfull. Nice rooms and no complaints.

Comfy bed, nice staff, cheaper than others in the area

Very quirky rooms, was close to the wedding venue we were attending.

It could do with some TLC. Lots of loose fixtures and fittings etc. very dated.

Unsatisfactory

The swimming pool was out of use and no spa facilities as per website description. Was kept up till 3am with noise from pump next door and was unable to reach reception as the phone was not working.

absolutely Fab’u’Luss 🙌🤩

As soon as we arrived we had a Fab’u’Luss warm welcome from the staff . They are very chatty we felt relax and at home . we will 100 per cent be back 🙌

Short trip visiting relatives

The room was spacious with all the amenities you would want when away from home. especially liked the four poster bed and large communal lounge

We had difficulty finding the hotel entrance and passed it twice before success. The table needed dusting and polishing in the room and was quickly remedied

Overall the stay was enjoyable, but I would`nt stay here again, unless it was sprussed up a bit.

The room was in a perfect position, very quite. excellent food, and fairly priced. Bar area comfortable but noisy.

On arrival, our room was not made up, so we ended up with another room, which turned out good, as there was a wake on the Saturday night and it was very noisy. The hotel itself was very old, and it showed in the decor inside and outside.

Disappointing wouldn’t go back

the location

They didn’t seem interested in their paying guests. We booked a table for dinner but they had a party on and forgot to tell the chef we were coming and kept forgetting about us. The bathrooms weren’t very clean either. When we got down to breakfast 1/2 hour before it finished there was barely anything left we had to go out to a cafe and buy breakfast. Sadly we will not be going back or recommending this hotel. A very disappointing end to our holiday

"Hotel Inspector Needed"

Facilities : broken bedside lamp, broken blinds had to fix, faulty taps which you had to hold to turn on, shower absolutely useless unless you sat in the window sil also faulty tap, lumpy pillows need throwing, Mould black residue in the window frames. Service- you may need a bell to get their attention. Breakfast service well their was NONE had to go looking for something if anything to drink. When you found someone they were very Dull not sure they knew what I was talking when I asked for some tea. Tables- that's if you could find one that was clean or even clear of dirty dishes......NEVER RETURN ALL STAFF NEED TRAINING DO NOT BE FOOLED BY '4 IN A BED' AWARD THE NEXT PROGRAMME THEY NEED TO BE ON IS 'THE HOTEL INSPECTOR'

Booked 2 twin rooms. Given 2 doubles. Managed to change to a family room for 3 and a single room. Family room had no toilet paper. The toilet did not flush properly. The shower drain was blocked. Very noisy. Drunks outside until 1:00am

Did the job but think it’s over priced

Staff were all very friendly and polite

Tv was very poor quality, took 5 mins to settle on a station. Shower was about as powerful as a poor tap! Our room wasn’t very clean, some hair in bathroom etc

As expected for a simple overnight stay

Breakfast was as expected. One member of staff, Jodie was friendly and very helpful,the guy manning the bar/reception on arrival at about 18.30 could have been more helpful regading bar type meal availability

Despite building having seen better days, would happily return

Clearly a rather impressive building in former days but lacking a little TLC now. so seen better days. But the staff were excellent - friendly and helpful. Plenty of safe parking. Good lounge. Breakfast plentiful and varied.

Some plumbing a little noisy.

Loved the Victorian features, shame about the WIFI.

Liked the mixture of old and new features around the hotel. Nice and warm. Comfy bed.

Breakfast was a bit disorganised but tasted ok. Could have done with the waitresses arriving a bit earlier. The WIFI didn't work at all during our stay.

Overall stay wasn’t too bad.

Location good. Good breakfast choice. Staff friendly and polite.

Some of the features in the bedroom appeared very outdated. The bed could have been made better and dressed with matching bedding The bedroom carpet could have done with a proper vacuuming Areas of the hotel appeared to need repainting / revarnishing
