Plus:
The building well built - All rooms have sea / pool view.
We had a nice room and also bigger than the rest. It had balcony
Well equipped for kitchen - even of we didn't cook :)
A lot of space in closets
Pool clean, warm water, shower
Also I've appreciated the trust they have in their customers - at the pool-bar it's self-service. You consume and write what you consumed, you'll pay at the end of holiday. You can't be a moron!!!!
Minus: water pressure on bathroom sink
1 big towel has been changed after 5 days, when I have let it on the floor. The other ones not.
We didn't like the breakfast- it was exactly the same each day but everywhere in Greece is the same. I'd suggest one say to serve salami, in the next one prosciuto and so on. It looks varied this way :)

We visit the hotel in off-season in April. Not much guests, so quiet place. The breakfast was extremely delicious and the staff was super helpful. We talked about places to visit, restaurant recommendations and life on Corfu.

Set in a lovely, quiet village towards the south of the island. The property is family run, very clean with a good breakfast. The pool area was nice too.
Nothing really except the beds were a little hard.

location was lovely with the sea a few metres down the road. lovey quiet pool area for relaxing with lovely view from our balcony
pillows could be more comfortable

Breakfast was extremely good with lots of choice and lovely fresh food. Room was kept clean and had a large shower, the balcony was a good size and overlooked the lovely swimming pool and sea beyond. Boukari is a quiet village with a harbour, several tavernas with very good fish and a village store it is also a good base to explore the island with a car which can be rented from the hotel.

A small, well-equipped hotel in a quiet location. Pleasant host. Nice staff. Enough good breakfast. Good service - transfer from/to the airport (lower price than taxi), information about Corfu and car rental at the hotel. Great sandy beach Issos (~20 -25 min by car). Its ideal place for those, who like and want to travel around the island.

Very friendly, plenty of facilities, lovely pool, clean rooms, great location, great breakfast
Nothing I can think of, maybe beds harder than used to, though comfortable

Wonderful location totally renewed, quite and nice, with new furnitures, the staff is really professional and very welcome and friendly attitude which I really liked. I reccomend this hotel to young couple as well as family. the breakfast was epic all with local products fresh and no foods from large distribution which I really liked.

If you want to get away from the hordes of tourists that storm the island every summer, this is the place to be!
However, you will need a car to visit the area and the hotel has several available.
The wifi connection in the rooms can be a bit tricky, but if that's all it is then there's nothing wrong with it. Take the opportunity to disconnect!

Kostas and his family were so welcoming and helpful on our holiday. The hotel food and hospitality was perfect.

Big and comfortable room, excellent location, very calm, good buffet breakfast. And not to forget: the owner, Kostas, is so welcoming and helpful! I warmly recommend this hotel!

We really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Penelope. The pool area was beautiful for sunbathing and swimming, and has a small bar.
Quiet location but just a few steps from the sea which was stunning and warm, with a sweet little harbour.
Nearby a few excellent Fish Tavernas and mini market.
Our favourite was Boukari beach taverna which is run by the same family as the hotel. You can eat right by the sea at all the tavernas.
Panoramic view from our balcony was also lovely.
Breakfast was good, lots of choice, fresh and cooked.
The staff were all lovely and friendly and kept the place spotless.
Kostas the owner was extremely helpfull to everyone and also arranges car hire if you want.
We had a really restful time and Boukari was exactly the right place for us in the South East of Corfu.
It's easy to drive into Corfu town and the north of the island .
Lovely sandy beaches nearby on the south west coast, although because of earlier storms they were spoilt with debris this October which was such a shame.
We found the South of the island more peaceful with traditional Greek villages, and not too touristy.
The shower room was dated and small, compared to the rest of the hotel which was smartly done. Shower worked great though.
Room was a bit small but fine.

Extremely friendly and helpful owner, always ready to give advice or help to arrange anything we need (car rent, dinner reservation, taxi, etc.). The family also owns an amazing taverna just 600 metres walk from the hotel. The food in the Taverna is amazing, great fish and seafood. Hotel itself serves decent breakfast every morning, overall clean and pleasant experience.
Hotel felt a little empty - there's a bar at the pool, but there never was anyone to serve any drinks. Same with the bar inside the hotel. A big problem was the mosquitos - made the night's sleep very difficult. The hotel is also a bit far from everything, be ready to rent a car. The beaches at this side of the island aren't perfect as well - very narrow and rocky.

Owners are really nice and sweet! The whole family is so friendly and always wants to help with everything. Sea is like 1 minute walk away. It is really calm and comforting there. Such a beautiful nature and everything.

It was friendly and close to a lovely beach (stones).
Owner was amazingly helpful.
Family own a great seafood restaurant 800 metres up the coast called Boukari seafood which we supported every night.
Hilltop town nearby is very worthwhile. Take a taxi as it is very windy.
Breakfast was ordinary so we skipped it after the first attempt.
Bed was small & uncomfortable.
Shower needs upgrade.

Very clean hotel. It is a family run business that takes care of the guests. The owner of the hotel took care of everything needed: transfer from Corfu, airport transfer and car rental without a hustle. Excursions can also be booked from the hotel. The tavern run by the family was also one of the best in the area.
It would be great if snacks were served at the pool. Other than that everything was perfect!

Mr KOSTAS and his family are special people. The staff is friendly, the rooms are comfortable. The food at the tavern is wow!

Clean and spacious room!

Very quiet rooms. Comfortable matrass. Friendly staff besides the main boss. Nice pool.
Shower is extremely small. Very small bathroom all together. Toilet didn't flush well.
Boss very arrogant and unprofessional way of treating clients. "My friend" this, "my friend" that. Basically hustled us in to having dinner at his restaurant "in return for giving us an upgrade" which was a lie. It wasn't an upgrade. It was our normal room we booked. The restaurant "bakari beach taverna" is not a good place to go. Breakfast wasn't really great either, but for the price, understandable.
4.5
The pool (very clean), the friendly staff.
I liked almost everything. There was a single thing which I didn't like: the smell coming from the bathroom pipes.
5.0
The Village, quiet and so Greek, the beach, calm and very hot water, the owners, amazing persons. They also have a fish taverna where I had one of the best pasta lobster ever. And I am a cook, I know what I am talking about.
Amazing experience. I will be back for sure

Costas and his staff/family are excellent hosts, helpful, friendly, could not be bettered. The pool is very nice. All areas of the hotel were spotless.
Room size is quite small - but a nice stanard even so.

Very friendly. Nice pool, comfortable deck. Great breakfast

Balcony with nice view
We felt very uncomfortable as - contrary to all other places on the island - the owner did not care about the usual Covid19 measures. He never wore a face mask, not at reception, not when he showed us to the room and also not when he sat on his desk right in the breakfast room. Also we were the only guests who wore a face mask at the breakfast buffet, nobody bothered to ask the guests to keep distance or wear face masks when being close to others.
The location was also disappointing, the hotel is away from the beach, also the beach is small and not nice.

Great location, genial host, lovely staff.
The wasps!
