Very good service massage
8.0
The owners were delightful - they really tried to accommodate all our needs.
Had full use of the well equipped kitchen
3.0
Nice reception area and lobby with wood stove burners.
Ski room to prepare the skis beside the hotel (not heated)
Good breakfast buffet
A smile is not part of the service here and no sense of the famous Italian hospitality either.
Nobody speaks English (or French) except for one lady at the reception desk.
We booked for 5 nights but left after 4 (with no refund) given the disastrous customer experience. Based on our experience Booking.com clients not very welcome.
RESTAURANT
No menus in English and no waiter to help in English either (thankfully we had google translate for a basic translation).
Set Menus do exist but you won't see it if you don't ask for it, only the more expensive "a la carte" is automatically given.
The dishes are quite mediocre and the variety is limited.
Breakfast starts at 7:30 (but ski lift opens at 8:00 in April). No possibility to have it earlier, so we had to buy our food from the grocery shops to be on time. But, another guest who threatened not to take the room if he could not get breakfast at 6:45 got what he wanted.
SPA
There is a spa (jacuzzi, sauna, hammam and sensorial shower, not well maintained), to access it you have to book in advance for 25€/person for 2 hours! In most 4 star hotels spa access is free, only the beauty and massage treatments have to be paid for. However, 30 minutes before our 2 hours were up, the hammam had already been turned off, leaving us free to admire the spider webs which were not initially visible with all steam at the beginning! No towels provided in the spa but we hadn't been told to bring one from our room.
ROOM
Minibar empty.
Heating in the room is regulated from the reception desk, and seems to be switched off during the day, meaning that it is impossible to dry ski clothes before the next morning.
The double bed was made up of two thin separate mattresses, so depending on where you positioned your body you might disappear between the two, not very comfortable.
Small Plastic shower cabin
It seems the charming photos used on their website are not those of standard rooms.

nice old building, ski resort a short walk up the road, staff very helpful
the general decor and room facilities need modernising

Uno staff carinissimo, da Manuela e colleghe alla reception, a Vincenzo e colleghi al ristorante
Una location perfetta per sciare all'abetone
Facilitiies could do with a little more maintenance
6.0
the staff was very service minded and helpful. also the location was close by the ski lifts.
the property was run down, not properly fixed and maintained. Breakfast menu was basic.
7.0
nice receptionist, very available to help
you can hear everything on the rooms, is like the people passing on the hall is inside your room. not what you would expect on a 4 stars hitel
2.0
I like the location of the hotel. It is close to the center and ski facilities.
1) The hotel has only one size slipper for spa (I guess size 39) although my foots are 44 size. I asked to change and they said not possible. In addition to that, the hotel provides a bathrobe without a rope, brilliant.
2) Although it is indicated here on booking.com they provide massage service, they don't provide it because of the Covid-19 restrictions. What is written here and what they provide don't match.
3) The toilet paper is the worst type of paper I have ever seen in my life. You may damage yourself while trying to clean.
4) Last but not least, the person (male) working in the reception is extremely rude and he is not even listening when you are talking. Instead of solving the customer's problem, he is ignoring what you are saying and he does not help at all. He is not even looking at your eyes or towards your face while he is talking.
To illustrate, when you have a medical condition and you have to go to the bathroom urgently after you check-out and you gave the key of your room, and when you ask where the bathroom is, he may ignore what you are saying completely and he may reprehend you for asking where the bathroom is. When you repeat your question, he may increases his voice and put you off by using very weird/aggressive body language.

Dinner service needs improvement, not up to the rest of the hotel quality
7.0
the location is near to ski lift & shop for skiing equipment.
The Wi-Fi connection is so bad. The is no mini bar in the room.
5.0
Staff and position
No aircon at all, too hot in the room, could not open the window as was facing the street at ground level so very noisy and unhealthy
