The staff were absolutely fantastic, really thoughtful! Amazing setting, really knowledgeable guides and lovely main area
would have been great to get a pre-arrival email re-confirming everything & what to expect!

The location and esthetics are great. Staff nice as well.
The food need improvement. For supper the portions are way too small and inconsistent.
4.5
Great staff and great excursions. Nice bar and ok food.
Take a long wait to get warm water in the cabin. Food is of sometimes good quality, sometimes not so great quality. However, you need to consider you're in the middle of the rain forest.

Its so beautiful, seeing the sunrise at the river, staying in Amazon. Staff are really friendly, food is amazing.
Activities are nothing, just waste of time, all you see is monkeys, and it doesn’t even feel like in the deep forest. Its too humid, even with 3 baths/ day its not enough, lack of electricity in the night from 10.30 pm- 3.30 pm is absolutely worst, with no proper sleep days are pretty hard, on last day we are happy we are getting out

Fabulous location and staff. Meals were wonderful.

Very pleasant hotel in the amazon jungles
We booked an all inclusive package with excursions. Food was excellent at breakfast and lunch, and fair at dinners
Bungalow was very comfortable, bed was large size, the whole setting was very nice.
Staff were very serviceable and attentive, they helped in any way they could
Improve excursion offering, offer observation points for wild life instead of just walking to find wild life on the way
4.5
wonderful property with fantastic excursions. Paulo, our guide, went above and beyond to customize the tours and prioritize our interests. The resort was a very luxurious experience

really nice cabanas and Great atmosphere. tours are Great.
the staff is highly unprofessional and rude. food is average.
4.5
Excellent guide and day trips. Very knowledgeable and made a concerted effort to seek and point out wildlife.
Meal portions could be larger.

the property itself was beautiful, incredibly clean.
the food was very Americanized. the staff all seemed to have a difficult time communicating in English which made a number of things difficult (understanding the excursions, sorting out flight information)
4.5
Main lodge is nice for drinks and cocktails.
The canopy and night tours are very nice and impressive.
No power after 10 PM so we had to endure the Amazon heat all night without a fan — which made resting imposible. Big issue!

We booked two bungalows for March 2022, for ourselves and for a friend-couple we were traveling with. First, the good: our friends reported that they loved their stay at Inkaterra, enjoyed the excursions, and found the staff very friendly, helpful, and enjoyable. Very positive feedback about their experience visiting the Amazon at Inkaterra.
The reason for the middling review here is Inkaterra’s handling of the fact that my wife and I had to cancel our bungalow for medical reasons. Inkaterra absolutely did not violate the terms of our reservation (fully non-refundable) in deciding not to offer any (even small) refund or consolation. However, I sent multiple inquiries to Inkaterra explaining the situation and asking for a small consideration (partial refund, etc.) given the circumstances. It took the better part of a week even to get them to reply to me with anything, and from there, they expressed zero flexibility. I first proposed charging us for 1 of the 2 nights, which—considering our friend-couple still planned to stay—would have left them with 75% of original reservation revenues. Not viable, I was told. Next, I proposed merely refunding the 10% “service fee” they charge for my bungalow only; as I understand it, the service fees cover food (it’s all-inclusive), daily excursions, transfer to/from Puerto Maldonado by boat, etc. Given they didn’t have to actually provide any of these services for us, it seemed reasonable to ask that as a small gesture they at least refund that 10%--which would have left them with 95% (!) of original reservation revenues. Still not willing. They didn’t even counter with an offer to return at a later date for a small discount or something. Bottom line, while—again—they did not violate their obligations, they were inflexible to a degree I’ve never encountered before. In general, not a constructive customer relationship; I would advise not counting on any measure, even a small measure, of reasonableness in the event of unforeseeable circumstances related to your travels/stay with Inkaterra. (I would add that this extreme level of inflexibility seems very out-of-touch with the times these days, given the complications related to international travel and tourism.) Very disappointing.

The location was amazing! The staff was super friendly and helpful. Overall a great experience!
Food choices could be better

Beautiful place right on the river. Nice bungalows with comfy bed. Very friendly staff and fantastic tours! It was an amazing experience, highly recommended!
Not many vegetarian options and tea selection

Staff - everyone was very friendly
This resort is overpriced - we spent over $2,000 for 3 nights (for a 3-guest room) and unfortunately have to admit that it wasn’t worth it…
The hotel amenities are quite limited and do not offer much - there is barely anything to do between the excursions.
The excursions were quite boring and not well planned.
The lunch menu was pretty limited, and the description of menu items was often misleading. There was a limited choice of tropical fruit juices and fish dishes - that was surprising given the location of this resort.
Rooms need a better protection against insects and provide a better temperature control.

Tony and all the staff made me feel comfortable and take care of me during my solo trip. Thank you! 120% recommended.

I loved the eco-friendly nature of the hotel. The staff always went far to please the guest. The facilities are definitely comfortable considering you are staying in the middle of the jungle. The food is fresh and delicious. Rooms are great and integrate really well with the environment. You will see and hear wildlife from your cabin! I definitely recommend this experience and all the excursions included in the price of the room. The Canopy experience was my favorite and the Tarantula trail at night was a close second.
Some visitors can be quite annoying by demanding perfection in a place that is not about that. Humidity and allergies can be a problem if you are sensitive to them.

The customer service was exceptional from the moment we arrived to the airport. The staff was friendly, cordial and very helpful. The property exceed our expectations, the restaurant had a great variety of food and our guide for all the tours was beyond amazing. We were fortunate to have a river view cabana and could watch the sunset every night. We are glad we picked this resort for our experience in the Amazon, we’ll definitely come back.
