Friendly staff and beautiful garden / park in which the hotel is located. Toiletries by RITUALS.
Breakfast was very basic for a 5 star hotel, not adequate! Dust on sideboards in breakfast room. Hot milk was served on the buffet out of a hot water boiler (very weird for a 5 star hotel!) which had a totally dirty filter - disgusting. Chamomile tea was ordered through room service and arrived lukewarm in the room ... not a 5 star experience. The room, called a Queen Room, was very basic for a 5 star Queen Room (furniture, decoration, etc.) ... In total we paid 299 EUR which is definitely too much for the experience we got. Will not return to this hotel.

Large rooms and good breakfast
Heating was dysfunctional and the room was very cold, despite front desk assistance to get some heat. The bath tub in the room needed resealing and showed the area to be dirty. Cobwebs in the corner of the room (2) indicates cleaning to be sub standard. Inter room noise was above average. Oh did I mention there was no hotel evening meals on offer, so had to drive 12km for a pizza….

Excellent staff
This is absolutely not a five star hotel. No elevator for instance. The room is being cleaned just once a day . Breakfast is just ok not brilliant . Vey average. The room price is double than other hotels with style around without justification.

Beautiful gardens, lovely location, stunning historical central building and contemporary garden suites…a really individual experience - a little like an Originals Hotel Chateau in France - not a 5 star hotel in the usual sense, but something rather different.
No milk for coffee in rooms, ran out of croissants at breakfast when only 4 rooms booked, dreadful hairdryer, no bar or signposting to service during day when at pool out of season. Had a real issue on day 1 with lunch. Asked for a snack - sandwich etc…ended up in restaurant with maitre d’ expecting us to have full several course meal. Had to be quite blunt to sort! Very little English spoken.

The hotel was near St Tropez so we didn't expect that it should be cheap. The staff was friendly and the hotel near to St Tropez (between St Tropez and St Maxime) The swimming pool was very nice. The pool beds were comfortable with pillows and the swimmingpool was big and good temperature. The breakfast was good, only the coffee was much too strong but the buffet was very large, choise enough. Next to the hotel we could find a beach with sand.
The rooms were stuffy and humid. We had the impressions that it were former lofts wich were rebuilt to hotel rooms. Because it was so stuffy we opened the windows in the middle of the night but there was so much traffic around that it was too noisy.

very warm welcome and family friendly atmosphere. big, newly renovated rooms
only one small bin in the toilet, no doors between the room and toilet
Xerta is a very small town, there is not a lot to do

The on-site restaurant was superb!
I am all for having a sexy shower or a bathtub in the same room as the bed.. however, I am yet to understand why there would also be a toilet without any doors that would ensure privacy and isolate it from the rest of the suite.. This made us feel uncomfortable in what was otherwise a lovely stay overall.

Location and staff
The breakfast room
Our room was very modern and not as relaxing . Didn’t like back garden from our room as quite dark and in inviting

Everything was great! The staff so friendly and helpful, the room so clean and comfortable, and the food was fantastic! We'll definitely go back, looking forward to trying the tasting menu!
The location of the hotel is remote and in a bit of run-down rural area, but the resort offers all the comfort so it doesn't really matter.
