It’s very quite and it’s lovely waking up to birds singing. Stuart the host is very friendly and you can sit outside in the evening and enjoy the peace and quiet with a drink if you like. We had a lovely stay

The location very pretty. Staff were very nice and friendly. The breakfast superb. Pigs are very cute
Paper thin walls. The other customers were very noisy. Could here every step from upstairs room. Could hear everyone in next rooms including showers and baths . Very noisy don’t recommend if you are a light sleeper or like the quiet.

A beautiful, peaceful spot with plenty of outdoor space to relax.
The cooked breakfast was superb and Stuart was a good host.

Rooms are spacious, very clean and comfortable. Toilets are also very clean with 2 wash basins and good toiletries. Nice environment around the hotel with plenty of greenery and facilities for children to explore and play with.
The kettle difficult to operate and only provide hot water one cup at a time.
4.7
Perfect location. lovely hosts. Nice breakfast
As a business traveller, it would be nice is the bedroom had sockets that were more conveniently located. Understand that as an older property that might be difficult.

We had a first floor room, with a view over the oak woodland and spent a fair while observing the wildlife before breakfast. The breakfast was excellent, especially the full English, with local sourced produce. I also liked the self service honesty Bar.

Host was excellent, so was his brekkie. Lovely B&B on a quiet and green spot.

Location handy to main road for a stop over. Rooms lovely, breakfast lovely, animals and woodland walk lovely too. Would be a good out of town base for a holiday too.
4.7
Stuart was lovely and very accommodating. The lodge and views surrounding were lovely. We met and fed the two pigs on the farm which was great. The breakfast was lovely.
Upon entrance our room smelt of cigarette smoke. Which was very off putting especially for first impressions of the property. The picture’s of the property are slightly misleading. In real life it’s very different.
4.7
The breakfast was amazing the room was spotlessly clean the bed was so comfortable and the bathroom was a lovely size with a excellent powerful shower and to top it off his and hers sinks. Stuart is a lovely man who is very accommodating from arrival we will definitely be returning

This is a well equipped guesthouse, very close to Canterbury with some lovely views/surroundings.
The room was a good size, had a comfy bed and was quiet too.
The hosts are very friendly and there is also an "honesty bar" which gives a relaxed feel to the place.
We found the room a little dusty - as my partner has a dust allergy we are particularly aware of this. There could be more vegetarian/vegan options for breakfast.
4.7
the owner was very lovely, he had helped us with everything and even told us to get a drink from the bar and just jot it down (honest policy)

everything was so amazing, from the minute we turned up to the minute we left.
There wasn’t anything we didn’t like

lovely breakfast, good location for taxi ride into Canterbury. Nice surroundings.
Bathroom needed some tlc. Grout needed replacing/reviving around the shower. There was a broken floor tile in the bath room which could be painful if you pinched a bare foot!
4.7
it was set in a lovely location, tucked away but a 10minute drive from local pubs that serve fabulous food. close to Canterbury for shopping and history.
it was cosy and had everything we needed. there was a well stocked honesty bar with a good choice of beverages. they have a tree house accommodation that looks so lovely
4.7
Very clean room and bathroom. Comfortable bed and nice bedlinen.
A cafeterie of coffee per table at breakfast would have been appreciated, rather than top-ups. Plain yoghurt and fruit would also have been good.

Everything was amazing. Our host, Stuart, greeted us and explained us everything and even recommended places to go for dinner or things to do in Canterbury. We stayed here after arriving in England by ferry because it's only a short drive to the lodge. We enjoyed our stay very much and booked again for our last night in England as well. We would have stayed longer but unfortunately the Lodge was fully booked.
We stayed in two different rooms during our two stays and both were great. One of them hasn't been renovated like the other but everything was clean and functional. We have never stayed in a bed that is more comfortable then the ones in the Lodge.
We had our breakfast outside both mornings and enjoyed the view into the nature. The lodge is surrounded by a lovely forest and if you fancy, you can go for walks here. Breakfast was freshly cooked by Stuart and was delicious. We had a full English breakfast but we could have also picked fresh fruit, spreads or muesli from the buffet in the breakfast room. Superb breakfast and a very friendly host - we will definitely come back and stay here again in the future.
If you sleep with your windows open, you can hear the cars on the nearby street in the morning (we didn't hear anything during the night) and depending on how loud the other guests enter/leave their room or watch TV you can also hear that.

Our rooms were comfy and clean with lovely bathrooms. Next morning , breakfast was plentiful with cereals , fruit juices , full English breakfast and unlimited tea and coffee. The host , Stuart , is just amazing. From the warm welcome when we arrived , we knew that he wanted us to enjoy our stay and that nothing would be too much trouble.
We were attending a wedding nearby - I don't know if we will need to stay in this area again but if so , I will definitely stay here again.

The host had fantastic customer service and the breakfast was ensational
The room was very tired, lots of marks on the walls and lots of dust on surfaces

Host was great and provided good information, place was clean and tidy
Advertised as a lodge and woodlands, was expecting that but its a room inside a accommodation. Slightly disappointed with that
