Nice and clean. Wheelchair friendly and breakfast is superb! Upon booking I messaged the property telling them my husband is invalid wearing leg prosthesis that needs a shower room with chair. Very satisfied with the room they gave us.

Breakfast was what you'd expect from a European hotel. Bread, cheese, eggs, ham etc.
Position was great. Pretty much in the town centre with plenty of restaurants and bars to frequent within a short walking distance
The shower door seal needs replacing in room 3 to prevent having a wet floor after showering.
View from the window of fire escape and kitchen extract system not the best.

We've been 50% welcomed well and the staff was really pleasant. The hotel is great, seems to be a quite and nice place to stay.
Where shall I start.
We have booked a one-night trip at De Secretaris so we can enjoy a festival few kilometers away from that location. As we came at the front desk, we were informed "the hotel is full" BUT "I have another hotel where you can stay, you'll see, it's a great place too, even closer to the festival, you'll like it".
Yes, but that wasn't the original booking. "Acaciahof" is a "restaurant-hotel" located 4km far from the initial hotel we booked with basic capacity and facilities, we don't need more because we're only here for a night. Super.
We received a sheet mentioning the room number (which isn't shown on the door itself), a WiFi access (we tried to connect and no WiFi was detected nor any of the provided accesses worked), the manager's phone number and the number to call to (un)lock the parking.
So we arrived at "Acaciahof", the one we did not pay for. Way more "vintage". We entered our room, we did not really catch up with all facilities as we went straight to the festival but once back to the room around 1.00am we were woken up 2hrs later by an alarm. We see policemen looking at the cars, looking around, knocking at the door crying "HEY" like we're home. Surreal as no service was provided and no follow up from the main hotel manager. Same story happened 2 hours later again, same intensity. We woke up at 8.45am, went to the bathroom were half a shower door was installed. Water was either super hot or cold. Tile joints were barely done, no wipers and no suitable soap dish. Rot on the ceiling. Wall sockets did not work properly. No blackout curtains.
We arrived at the hotel in the morning, clearly not appreciated as french-speaking natives as we tried to speak Dutch a bit and no efforts were made for us to understand. We were asked how the night was, we explained above comment - only reply was "Yea, I know".

Beautiful building with modern rooms with tasty decoration. The restaurant was very good as well and we had a wonderful 3 course meal with matching wines. The staff was very friendly and even offered us a lunch picnic to take with us on our walk. Definitely recommend this beautiful place.
Liked everything. They did forget to give us shampoo and bodylotion, but otherwise perfect!

People were very warm and welcoming, but no fuss - just as I like it. Breakfast outside in the sun was super and I had a nice conversation with the "breakfast man" as a bonus.
No special remarks.

Staff was really nice and the breakfast offer was huge! I understand that due to the Corona regulations, breakfast buffets are no more allowed. But, instead of offering an individual buffet on a guest's table, I would offer "breakfast à la carte". The staff put so much food on our table, that we couldn't finish it...the sweet pastries were not even touched. Normally, the leftovers will have to be thrown away, as they were already served. To avoid waste of food, I would opt for a "breakfast à la carte". So, people only order what they are able to eat and they can order more food if necessary.
