L’emplacement et le personnel super gentil
L’hotel est très ancien et a besoin de rénovation en urgence !! Le lit n’est pas confortable , ma baignoire dégage des odeurs horribles et les rideaux sont déchirés et ne couvrent pas la lumière

Hotel is in centre of Cairo in very jammed packed place.
This hotel is 3 star at most
It is a disgrace to give it brand name “Golden Tulip”, this hotel doesn’t deserve from any aspect a 4 star rating.
The area where it is located is very congested and small roads, surrounded by estate buildings in runs down condition, on one side is river Nile but the part of river Nile (because the hotel is on the island in the river) and the view of Nile is horrible, not what is shown in the picture.
Lifts are tiny x2
Rooms are dark and older than 1950s theme
Building is dirty from outside
Facilities ie toilet paper etc are missing
Bathrooms are smelly and old
Even my kids said it’s a rundown building
All above was unexpected and absolutely not desirable, especially when there are so many other good options are available.
I would have booked somewhere else if I knew.
Absolutely not recommended
Definitely demand from “Golden Tulip” brand to strip off this hotel from this endorsement so customers can’t be fooled.

View... Only the view was great.
Trafic around the hotel and noisy streets

Everything was perfect, room was bigger and nicer than expected. It was clean, everything worked perfectly. Buffet breakfast was great, only minor comment regarding breakfast is that there could be more options, I mean it's buffet and there are a lot of things, but every day it's the same.
5 stars for Eslam at the reception.
Location was perfect, very close to downtown but away from the noise, you can easily find taxi cabs and also quite close to a metro station.
When in Cairo ... this is the best option.

The location, facilities, and how spacious our rooms were
We were meant to receive an upgrade which included free breakfast and a free extra bed. They tried to charge us for the bed which I declined and we were charged for breakfast. It was cheaper to eat out

I loved the room. The view of Nile was amazing. The staff was courteous
The breakfast buffet n staff were disappointing. Grim faces with boring food.

The location is nice, probably the best district to stay in Cairo itself (otherwise I suggest some villages nearby, because of the air pollution).
The hotel is very outdated, seems has never been renovated since 90x. But for the price and the nice view on the Nile river the value was ok.

staff friendly & helpful. The lovely girl on reception ordered a takeaway Kushari for me which is an Egyptian specialty. It was delicious.
