The staff were very friendly
Mold in first room, door to patio broken so you could see right through the door, patio had three inches thick of slush and 1000 cigs, the room was super dirty, mold on shower curtain, we were not up by bugs.

Les plus ; cadre agréable....belle table de petit déjeuner... Hotel bien situé... Garage pratique.
les moins:Lit moyen ...et quelques odeurs dans les toilettes.
.Pas d'ascenseur...ce devrait être annoncé à la resa.

The hotel is beautiful old world charm. Location is outside city centre about 15 min walk or tram stop 100m away. Not much around but quite. Room was good size but shower had mouldy grout.

Great location, beautiful and spacious rooms, very friendly and welcoming staff, old world charm. Breakfast with lots of options, delicious.
Our toilet door didn't really close and there were many trivial repairs needed. This done, it would have been absolutely perfect.

Very interesting hotel building with character. Easy to walk to the centre of Ghent from the hotel (which is full of fabulous medieval buildings). We had a deluxe room and it was very spacious. Bed was comfortable. Staff friendly. They were able to arrange private parking for our car but have only a small number of such spaces so book in advance.
Quite a lot of stairs up to bedroom (floors have high ceilings). No air conditioning or fridge in room. No cafes or supermarkets super close to hotel (so best to have hotel breakfast).

Quiet residential area. 20 minutes walk from Ghent University. 3 minutes to Tram and buses. Good breakfast with real eggs.
Tha facilities are very old and not maintained well. Flies in the room. They market and charge high price on their historical legacy. I will stay at other modern hotels with the same price with more comfort next time.

A stunning historical property with a lot of charm and character!
Excellent breakfast!

Excellent location, friendly & helpful staff, very big room.
Bathroom very dated, shower did not drain very well so you had to be very cautious of how much water was pooling up in the bottom of the shower. It also had a moldy/damp smell in the bathroom which may have been a blocked drain and the smell would waft into the main bedroom area so you had to leave a window open.

Excellent breakfast
Windows in bathroom needed maintenance (very old) and we did not dare to open them.

Very unique small hotel in a very good location in the city. Very charming stylish place.
Needs perhaps a little maintenance and a lick of paint....

Comfortable room and good bathroom. Simple decor at a good price. The breakfast was truly excellent, lots of choice and quantity :-)
Steep staircase up three flights of stairs. Had reserved a car parking space at the hotel in advance but when we arrived it had been given to someone else. Had to find another parking space in a public car park and walk back in the rain. Paid at check in, was not told that we were being charged for the hotel parking space. Questioned it next morning and was given a cash refund immediately.

Beautiful building and original features. Friendly staff. Decent location easily accessible to old town by foot or tram stop adjacent to hotel. Parking space provided. Good breakfast.
It was very cold , no heating on in room when we arrived. We could turn it on though so room did warm up. Although beautiful room it was very tired and needed some TLC. No lift or bar.

I love places like this, authentic, historic, quirky. A little faded around the edges in places but that's fine as far as I am concerned. We were really lucky to get a parking space inside as we have a classic car and can't park it on the road
All good, nothing I didn't like

Personel are very kind and helpful. The atmosphere is excellent. Various delicious breakfast offered.
No Windows in the room, it was dark. The heating was noisy, the room was dark, has no enough lights.

Lovely old building, full of character and antique fittings. Very spacious room. Great breakfast. Worn but very clean and comfortable
Maintenance of bathroom fittings poor. No plug in sink, no functioning door latch. Shower drain slowly blocked and backed up during use (seems to have happened before on this and at least one other shower judging by water leakage stains on ceilings)

The style of the hotel is certainly unique. Location is good, rooms are quiet and was clean and good. Heating worked well. No real complaints. Staff very helpful
The window in our bathroom didnt shut properly n when there was a strong gust of wind it opened it. Bacon was already finished at 9 am at breakfast n they didn't refill.

Very beautiful and charming hotel. Our room was huge, trully spacious, and our bathroom had a jacuzzi. The breakfast was really very good. In general, this hotel exceeded our expectations so I would highly recommend it.
The wifi was not very strong. The building is old and this has its own charm. But this also means that you can hear people walking on the floor etc. Also, I didn't like that check in was at 16.00.

Hotel was nice, nicely decorated, staff was nice, there is a tram at the end of the road, the number 4, takes you straight into the centre of town. Get the €17 ticket for 10 trips, its worth the money. Room was clean and tidy and someone came in for a clean, made the bed and new towels each day which was a nice touch. We drove so had parking, it cost €15 a day which was a little steep for a week but we did have our own garage which was a nice touch. Albeit a very tight squeeze in the garage if you have a normal sized or larger car.
We stayed in 3B which apparently had a known problem with the shower. Their answer is to put drain cleaner down it, this does not stop it smelling like a rat has died in there. The cleaner we think was purposefully leaving the windows in the bathroom open and the bathroom door open to try air it out which didn't help. When we mentioned this on our second day of being there it was just the drain cleaner that came out. If you get 3B, change rooms, the smell is STRONG. I also have genius level 2 which should have included a few breakfast. When we arrived we were told this was not included, breakfast is at €17.50 per person per day - not sure what cereal costs €17.50!

Good breakfast, Quiet location away from the city centre but walkable distance in. If you like somewhere quirky and different, well worth staying.
Can hear other guests moving about upstairs (poor soundproofing) but this reflects age of building.

A 10 minute walk takes you into the old part of the city or you can get a tram in. The stop is just 50 yards away. The building is old and has many of its original features, so expect some creaking floorboards etc. but worth it to get away from sterile, corporate hotels.

room shabby but clean no fridge in in a hot summer. Room at the top of the house with steep stairs leading to it not suitable for old people. Garden area nice a real asset but needs a lot of work.
old charm food good could be great if they do the work.
